Not that I'm old or anything, but I can remember driving to Tofino from Port Alberni in a 4WD on a mud road to go salmon fishing at the little native village that was there (before the ocean kyakers arrived, the road got paved, and the time-sharing set moved in). When the boat captain and I caught some nice fish, I would give them to the (one) restaurant owner and cook, and my dinner would be on-the-house for feeding most of the village that evening. Memories are made of such things. And I liked Tofino much better back then...

Just have been in Tofino last month, also at Cox beach at you really captured the flair of the location perfectly. The drone shots are beautiful. But mind, cox beach lookout is already within pacific rim national park, without permission (and it's virtually impossible to get one) it's a 25,000$ fine if you geht caught, especially when disturbing wild life like a bald eagle. So please to not try to replicate those shots with your own drone.

The shots were incredibly beautiful! So dreamy. If I can give some input though, the sfx weren't as strong as previous videos. I think it was lacking dialogue or maybe laughter. I heard somewhere that humans pay attention to 2.5 sounds; there were only sfx and music with very little build which added to the fact that I thought this film lacked emotion. Other than that, this film is cleannnn. My favourite shot was 1:36!

Cox beach itself is actually ok, limited height due to the close airport, but cox beach lookout is in the national park. You need a permit there. However, I think they just didn't care and just started the drone there.
