What you did not mention is the high cost of accommodations in Tofino. Upwards of $1,000/night in high season at that “cabin” you stayed at. It’s an old story but people claim that “BC” stands for “ bring cash”. If you go off season you can find places much less costly but even camping is getting ludicrous…McKenzie Beach campground is now $120/night “back in the trees” and $240/night for “beach front”…for a serviced site. We now stay at air B n Bs down the road in Ucluelet and book months in advance.
