Hey man. That Pterodactyl that lived up stairs at your old place. He lived in mine for about 15yrs. Finally got him moved out 9 months ago today. Found cycling and I suck but I’m able to move a lot of that pain that was in my soul down into my legs. Just wanted to tell you thank you and it’s nice to know that people like us can beat that and succeed in life. Thanks for the inspiration sir. Kyle heard.

Before Lionel's last video, I'd never heard of Phil. Since then I've been binge watching with all the free time on my hands. These two are hilarious. Phil's response at the end is epic! Great job you guys!

I love watching this. Great KOM, but watch out for this Sam Long kid. I use to do the Mt. Lemmon Hill climb in the 70s and the official finish was always the palisades ranger station. I’m sure you know this if you train in Tucson. Great ride!

I used to climb Mt Lemmon on a cheap mountain bike non stop to the observatory which is the official top of the mountain. Took me 4 hours up and 1.5 hours down without stepping a foot on the mounatian. This was in my 50's I'm 72 now and looking to build an e-bike to help me get there again :)
@timschroepfer23854 жыл бұрын
I was waiting for this video after seeing the one from the other day, priceless!! Another amazing effort Lionel (it takes me like 3hr 12min, like 2 hrs slower ;-) ) Love both Lionel and Phil, and love Mt Lemmon!!
@marsallefrancisco48514 жыл бұрын
Hey Lionel Sanders.Glad to see you got the KOM.You obviously have the talent to compete with the Division 3 and P1 riders easily.In you're video,you can clearly see the stark difference in you're form on the bike when compared to a road racer.You need to work on you're form.Emulate some pro tour riders like Moreno Argentin and Miguel Induran,just to name a few.What these riders all have in common is,they we're Aerodynamic,Supple but yet sat Solid on the bike pedaling with there knees in.You're knees we're out,creating a parachute affect.Phil has more road racing experience than you and you still beat him by 2 minutes,that's amazing.Phil is coming back for is KOM but if you work on you're form,you'll just take it back from him.All the best,stay healthy and safe!

KOM wars are crazy. I tried to take one locally that required me to ride in a tropical storm for enough tailwind and spotters at two intersections to make sure I didn't get hit by cross traffic (I had the right of way, but never trust cars to always stop). I was one of the most fun things I'd ever attempted! Took three times to finally get it.
@casualguy3934 жыл бұрын
I did the same. We had a 45-50kmh wind the other day which I rode to 32 KOMs and 13 top tens in 1 ride. I got up to 71kph on a short downhill but averaged 49kmh for over 21km, and a few of the short KOMs were high 50s and low 60s. Good fun, but I know someone else will beat some or all soon enough.
