Hey coach, i’m a runningback in my freshman year. What should I work on to gain more elusiveness? And what do you recommend to gain more trucking power? I love all of your videos!!
@firstdowntraining10 күн бұрын
Appreciate you man thank you for the support! For trucking I’d say work on explosivenes in the gym. Like power cleans, box jumps etc. For juking if you search up “first down training how to get more shifty” on KZbin we have some content there that can help!

Coach i watched all your vids and especially your reading defenses. My only thing is that i dont have a way of remembering which one is which is their a quick simple way i can automatically remember which one has the dbs and safetys in a certain position
@firstdowntraining9 күн бұрын
Are you talking coverages as a whole? Or a DBs leverage?
@SilentR34PER9 күн бұрын
@ Coverges as a whole

Coach do you think it would be okay to learn cam ward throwing motion. A lot of people say he release is too low and he not throwing the ball right. But he the 1pick in the draft so what do you think
@firstdowntraining10 күн бұрын
I’ll take a look, I’ve honestly not seen much of his motion! But I’ll take a look

Rodgers throws the best football ever, but his mechanics aren’t really the best to teach. You have to be an extreme talent and athlete to do it at that level lol
@firstdowntraining10 күн бұрын
Ah- id rewatch the first 1-2 minutes of this video. We mention how everyone is different and we are showing the mechanical sequence that every elite passer has.
@gerrysutherland22019 күн бұрын
There isn't one way. I've watch all QBs from 77 or so. Look at Dan Fouts, Marino, Moon, Young. The most important thing is being accurate from 10 to 25 yards. Anyone can throw the ball long.
@Diitttoo9 күн бұрын
That's like saying that we shouldn't strive to be the best because not everyone can be the best. His mechanics are definitely one of the top ones to teach; that doesn't mean you have to copy him exactly like he does it
