Gave this a full listen last night as it had been a while. I have to go with Side 2. Part IV is legendary and Parts V & VI, as you mentioned, are a bit more on the proggy side. I also like the snyth tones he uses on Side 2 more than those on Side 1. Nothing wrong with Side 1 though - it's a great listen also!
