As per the comment below, these are going to last a lot longer than a couple of months if you’re only using them twice a week.

@@ukclimbingofficial Bought them 1 month ago, toe hook rubber broke during the first toe hook ever with it, front of one of the shoe is wasted too. I climb 2-3 times a week. The lack of reinforcement on the heel makes it totally unusable. The only good point of the shoe is it's sensibility and sticky rubber, that's all. I'm really really disapointed.

it doesn't look half bad as a crack shoe, depends on stiffness though

It’s very, very soft so I think your feet would end up in agony if you tried to use them as a crack shoe. That said, never say never - I’m sure there’d be specific problems or routes where they’d be great 🤷🏼‍♂️

How does it compare to the Voloce?

Good question and one we deliberated raising within the video, but decided not to. In short I’d say that the Veloce Lace is more performance oriented than the Origin VS, whereas the Origin VS has more of a focus on having a relaxed, comfortable fit. Where it gets complex is that the Veloce Lace is also really comfy (and quite relaxed) and the Origin VS also performs really well. Basically they’re similar, but different. I think the closure on the Veloce Lace allows a more precise fit/feel, which perhaps gives it the edge, whereas the single strap on the Origin adds to that nice, relaxed vibe that it’s got going on. Both great shoes!!

Less time = less detailed, and we opt for a through review so that it’s actually useful, as opposed to a short one which isn’t.

You could get cheaper, but they wouldn’t be anywhere near as well made. Buy cheap, buy twice (or more).

I could have bought them in the SportOkay sale for 85€ just a couple of days ago. Listed price and market price often vary quiet a bit for beginner shoes.

This is a major part of the reason we quote RRP, as opposed to discounted price, as the latter changes all the time
