His is a rare, exceptional male voice that only comes along once in a lifetime. "American Idol" treated this talent like crap. Millions of people should be listening to him. He can sing anything, and it's always unique. If I owned a record company, he would be the star vocalist. Perhaps someday his $$$ ship will come in. Thanks for giving us this video.

American idol is pathetic, why does in not surprise that they'd fail to recognize his talent
@frankwhite79704 жыл бұрын
I do agree. American Idol - in my opinion - judges don't use an artistic evaluation of an artist all the time. I think they just follow some different criteria, like pushing ahead some competitors rather than other ones, despite their artistic talent. I saw how they treat him. How unfair. Especially that asshole Simon Cowell.

And certainly I've never heard it sung by a male like this. He is quite simply incredible. I'm somewhat ashamed to say this is the 1st time I've heard his voice though it certainly will not be the last. I am now a 'fan' from the UK who'd be overjoyed if he visited us to perform. @@joalexsg9741 So often I'm of the opinion that a song should never be reproduced by anyone, as with this ballad. How wrong I was. This young man's rendition left me open mouthed, speechless. In the original Streisand held the final note for 19 seconds. I didn't time his final note but, wow, what an ending!
@joalexsg97413 жыл бұрын
@@popazz1 Indeed, he voice is one of those I classify as 'beyond words'! Barbra's version in the movie finale will always be my favorite ever, actually hors concours, but his cover should be registered as among the most beautiful ever sung through all times. And, as I said, the fact that he used momma instead of papa just made me identify with the lyrical subject even more. In fact, I've never felt comfortable with anything patriarchal, as I feel mom's should always come first, even though I know that for many people, it's their dad who play their role, whether in practice or in their hearts.

Your comment is 8 years old and you probably don't care about my thoughts, but when that note starts, it sounds like it has been slowed/elongated in the studio. That's not to say he didn't perform incredibly when this was recorded, but it is to say that it's unlikely to be repeated live -- and you will find that most professional singers do not hold the note as long as the original with such power, when performing live.

Von did a musical in Los Angeles called, "For The Record: Tarantino" (Plenty of KZbin videos.) The show got RAVE reviews from everyone, even Tarantino himself! After a 3 year gig, Von moved to NY... Two weeks before Streisand & Brolin came to see it. Barbra has knows who Von is because one of his biggest fans, was the late Marvin Hamlisch. Who personally asked Von to sing with his symphony. They did 3 or 4 big holiday shows together before his untimely death in 2012.
