To push the negative comments out of the water, I absolutely love this cover. I can't get enough of it. Von is fantastic and amazing and adorable and did I say fantastic? You can't get everything perfect and authentic. You get a different person singing a style and it'll never be exact. Maybe they're used to singing a certain way so they'll bring their own thing to the performance. I don't get pretentious vibes from this, I just see a man trying to hold himself back from dancing his ass off while singing. This cover along with Von's performance brings more power to the song than the original, in my opinion.

Love it too! I mean, that's a cover for X's sake! Had to put a little bit of something more than just singing into it. That way it has a new soul and an impressive strength. And well, I love the way Von Smith can make a show out of every song. Kinda "singin' actor" style - not the singin' that can just pass you by, but something that demands attention and takes you with itself, to fully enjoy the music. It's just perfect.
