Steve this information is hopefully. I have progressive MS. I was diagnosed back in 1999. I really didn’t have visible symptoms till 2012. It’s only gotten worse. Leg fatigue, muscle strength diminished, lack of balance, etc. I am going to speak to my MS doctor about remyelination.

Regarding blood sugar: Apple cider vinegar is great. Another thing you can check out to help with blood sugar control is the herb gymnema. Many studies about it. Also cardamon, cinnamon and ginger as spices can help, The term holistic simply means: "characterized by the belief that the parts of something are interconnected and can be explained only by reference to the whole. This means when applied to medicine, that the practioner takes into account the interconnectedness of body systems, like the gut-brain connection, mind-body connection etc. But also the connection between your social environment, physical environment, your minds, thoughts, emotions etc. But the term holistic, just like the term science are being misued or are washed out as words. They have lost their meaning. There are many doctors out there claiming to be holistic, or claiming to be science-based, when in reality they are not. Also note to consider that there are a lot of limitations with scientific research in the areas of health and diet etc. Also tried clinical experience is worthy to take into account. For example the herb "gymnema" I mentioned before in this comment. It has been used for thousands of years for its benefit in blood sugar regulation. It was known before studies were conducted. The benefits of fasting, diet, exercise was also known. A truly holistic pracitioner does not ignore science or scienfitic results. As that would by itself be not considered holistic. You do not ignore any area of life. Be it physical, mental, emotional, social, environmental, scientific, genetic. Everything is taken into account. And what matters are precise diagnosis, treatment and positive results based on the diagnosis and treatment. A good example is the system of Functional Medicine. So yeah both the words "holistic" and "science" are misused and gets a bad rep these days. And there are many bad pracitioners out there. But there are also many good ones and people recover from all sorts of things that conventional school medicine (which clinical practice usually is 20-30 years behind the scientific progress) says can not be anything done about. The word curing "MS" or any other diagnosis is redundant because it wrongly assumes that all MS patients are created equal and have the same underlying genetics, and epigenetic triggers that caused the disease. Though there may be patterns, everyone has a unique constiution and an unique life experience and history of different stressors (like toxins, allergens, microbes, emotional trauma, microbiome, genes, etc). So people that claim they can cure "MS" I would not trust either. You treat a unique person, not the disease/diagnosis. Precise diagnosis is EXTREMELY important. But to be precise you need to go beyond a label like MS and look for underlying root causes. That's why I really like the system of Functional Medicine. It is not popular among conventional doctors and called pseudoscientific by some. While it may be hard to create studies that generalize people into groups like "MS-people" and matching them with a specific substance like "this drug" or "this herb", Functional Medicine is uniquely tailored for each person. You can measure the underlying root causes treated, and science supports how these root causes contribute to disease. But just like your program of applying several things at the same time to create a bigger synnergistic effect (combining diet, fasting, exercise, UV-light etc) is hard to prove with science the combined effect, the same goes for Functional Medicine. One study I do know about though, is a study showing the ReCODE program for alzheimers. You can find it on pubmed. "ReCODE: A Personalized, Targeted, Multi-Factorial Therapeutic Program for Reversal of Cognitive Decline". It shows the multi-factorial aspects of how Functional Medicine is applied and how it can be effective. I made this comment 20 min in in the video. Will continue to watch and maybe add something more. Welcome back to KZbin Steve :)

@albineg8 ай бұрын
@@pattischmitz2680 Applying a functional medicine approach by a good practioner that works with that method would work for treating the underlying causes no matter what diagnosis. In functional medicine you treat the unique person, not the diagnosis. There is a lot of underlying things that may or not be present and contribute to the symptoms and disease. Each case is unique. No MS person is alike, even though there are general trends that benefit many, there is still uniqueness in the application based on extensive diagnostics and personalized treatment plans.

I am dealing with Optic Neuritis as I write this: Once again, Im pivoting back to the Whals Protocol. I was doing better this summer, but, * As I thought it was okay to flap the diet, I went back to eating cookies, spring rolls, soy sauce, an occasional pizza since Late October. Oh, and those Christmas cookies, a few bags of fun size candy bars, and a few bottles of diet soda, slowly made me worse once again, so guess what happened.. I ended losing my balance again. Plus, I lost my right eye vision. Argh!! Its December 26, 2023, and my calendar log shows I began to slowly lose sight in my roght eye once again; Optic Neuritis. I can't see out of my right eye, except for objects; no detail. However, went right back as of Christmas morning. Already I am seeing slight color again in the eye again. *... Friends, I think I'm sold on the Protocol. If lucky, ill be back up the hill, playing the slot machines again and going to the ball game in preparation of baseball opening day, friends! Yippee! 😵😎✌️ Update: Optic Neuritis Vision loss; Right Eye; December 20, 2023, status Update as of Saturday, March 23, 2024 PM: * 😁👏🥴 Vision in Right Eye returned during week; March 18-23rd today. Can now see 10-12 point letters. I'd call that Empirical proof, at least to me, that Whal's Protocol clearly is helpful in mitigation of MS symptoms. Plus, I can walk in the house without the two canes I own. Next week: let's see if I can make it down the street and back to the Walmart without problems with balance and gait issues. ... I'm out. Peace ✌

Hi Evil Swan, Although the exact mechanism is not clear, some researchers hypothesize that gluten sensitivity may trigger or exacerbate inflammation in the body, including the CNS, which impacts the progression of MS.
