For a game that shadow dropped so surprisingly that even the devs weren't expecting it and with no day 1 patch, it works so well, so much fun. Jumped in yesterday, played a bit of the single player side and did a couple multiplayer rounds and still can't believe it. So this is what a polished game is? XD and for 20 euros it's just perfect. Awesome game! Thank you for another great video and so quick after the launch of thegame!

Got it last night & just looked for some videos this morning. I found it needs more of a sense of speed. The flying is really good & intuitive with great sick response if using the stick with VR controls but I broke out in a cold sweat from motion sickness after 20-30min so I have to get used to it. Oh & adjust the seat in cockpit if using VR control's.

This was such an interesting way to do a review, even with the dad jokes 😂. I love it. You just earned a new subscriber. I played for about an hour and there is a lot of game here. It’s very polished for a surprise/unplanned launch too. Graphics are sufficient, sense of scale/height is excellent and landing is kicking my butt 😂, so there is a lot of depth to the controls. Honestly, a steal at 20 USD.

I love the game, I think the developers can polish a few things, like how to use the break, I mean they give you a little diagram of the controls but I think they could have included that on your first landing tutorial. And maybe increase the graphics fidelity or textures as I don't think this game is using the full power of the PS5.

Ive been playing a bit the last 2 days, and im definitely planning on getting a HOTAS once they fix the yaw. Its not terrible to play with the sense controllers but its definitely not the best way to play this one.

@@allthismalarkey there's only like 2 kinds you can get that work with PlayStation. There's the T. Flight Hotas 4 and there's the Hori Flight stick. But good luck finding a Hori. The thrust master is probably the way to go.

Warplanes gave me bad motion sickness from the very first second. Flight 74 is much better for people with motion sickness.

In games like resident evil or anything where I turn camera, I get bad motion sicknesses. How is this game regarding motion sickness?

I used to have to take sea sickness tablets to play VR 😂 sounds drastic, but they worked an I only took them when a game had locomotion. I only took them probably around 10 times and then my mind had accepted what the eyes were seeing. Now if I ever feel sick I just stop playing for 10 minutes and jump back in and it’s gone. Might not work for everyone but did for me 😁 if you are sensitive to motion this game will set it off

I’ve owned a psvr2 and haven’t gotten motion sickness until I started playing it. I play this game for 2 hours for the first time I’m fine. I tried playing again the last two days and I get motion sickness lol. It may take a while to adapt. Just remember to take breaks. I made the mistake of not doing that when I first got a vr headset and i felt sick and a headache for two days

This looks like a Nintendo 3DS game though. Where's Ace Combat 7 for PS VR2 already 🙈. Crazy that we have to go to PS VR1 for some things. It's almost as if Sony doesn't care very much about their platform.

I honestly love this game, from the moment you take off the graphics become secondary to the game play and experience 😁 but I totally understand what you are saying. I dug up some footage for this video off Nico playing Ace combat 7 on the PSVR1 and was reminded of just how awesome that game was and how great it looked. Come on Sony 🙄

It looks cartoonish, but plays so well you forget about them within 2 minutes . It’s got the balance between arcade and simulation almost perfect for me. Someone else commented we need Ace Combat 7 ported over to PSVR2. Now that would look great….chances of it happening 🤷🏻

This is a misunderstanding in game design. More realistic graphics doesn't necessarily lead to a better game. Cartoony games can have superior game design.

I do agree with the fact that a PS5 could theoretically produce a richer game world than we've seen so far. This is mostly a budgeting issue in gamedev.

Downloaded yesterday, load of rubbish, i invested 4 hours into this game, i gave it in my opinion a fair crack and was disappointed. The motion controls are jittery and clunky, why are we still getting cartoon graphics? Hotus controls not working properly. Load of crap

As far as understand it, the game was not due to be released until next week, I think there’s a patch due in a couple of days time (that would have been a day one patch) hopefully this addresses the Hotus control. I don’t mind the graphics, for me I feels like it fits with the tone of the game a mix between light simulator and arcade flight. It’s no fun when a game doesn’t live up to your expectations, Aces of Thunder is coming soon hopefully that scratches the realism itch on the graphics front.
