Loved the puppet scenes. Great metaphor for the villain puppets and those fixed attitudes of the protagonists which are puppet worthy but not really conducive to growth. Aaah, the old dilemma of free will and determinism. Plus, one of the main men gets the pretty girl. Now that's puppet mastery!

Thanks for the upload. Not the worst of the early stage (1964-1965) "spaghetti westerns", but it struggles from a primary problem which I am beginning to identify among early spaghetti westerns. Almost all of them I have seen so far tried to fuse the traditional western with the spaghetti western. None of them are as dark, gritty, and violent as A Fistful of Dollars was when it came out, so they took a lot of those elements out, maintaining some aspects, and added more traditionalism in, to make it more market-able, since spaghetti westerns, were by nature, anti-establishment in a way. And there lies the problem: it's hard to fuse a new craze with the very thing it seeks to recreate.

Really satisfying! I loved the slightly schmaltzy ending. A conventional director might have killed both off, or one off, and had a little death scene full of regret and contrition, but hey! schmaltz is good too.
