Charlie, I know you won't even get to see my comment...at #158. But here's my unsolicited two cents. You moving across the seas to pursue your dream is total courage. We are our own worst critics and so I know that inner voice can sometimes be brutal with us. Be encouraged Charlie, the bigger the sacrifice, the bigger the win. You just have to believe that all your auditions are preparing you for your lucky breakthrough; luck is when practice meets opportunity. Even our own runners in Kenya did many hours before winning their first great marathon. I'm 46 and I like seeing young people taking risks, especially as creatives. If you don't do it now, you'll live to regret it. So far, it sounds like you have a good plan💪. That said, if or when life stops making sense, it's always ok to pivot. This applies to all of us, even 46-year old yungins! 🙂

In re pivoting, I tried, and it almost malizaad me 😄😄 I think problem is how my brain is set up, very one-track-minded. So when I set off on one path that's meant to be a temporary pivot, by the time I'm looking up, it's been months and I forgot what the main mission was, I'm sitting at a desk, sending out emails and doing admin, and forgetting who I am really... That's what happened earlier this year, and as I mentioned, it almost ran me mad! But ni life, that was one stage, the one I'm currently on is titled Course Correction, lets see how it goes! 💪🏾💪🏾

That’s so awesome Charlie! Commented a while back that education is the sure-st way to community. Check out the Story Institute in Vancouver. That’s where I was planning to go for the move. The actors career abroad can get lonely- me and Charles Ouda were in NYC. But the education aspect helps. Work is good too, but taking an acting class is great. There’s weekly ones as well. As for ‘what was the point’ I hear ya. If you got big enough you can always move back home and fly in for the final auditions, depending on your goals. Also Vancouver is so pretty! Much prettier than NYC oh my goodness. Love it. Also so happy that the work you did paid you enough to get the spot. In general so happy for you. Godspeed!

Ayy, thanks for the recomm about The Story Institute, I'd never heard of them. I'll definitely check them out! And yeah, it can get lonely... In a different way for me though, I'm lucky I have my wife and friends here, but it got lonely in the not having other actors around me kinda way. And yeah., Van is mad pretty! @@lauraarina9441 Hi Laura... I'm using a phone tripod, a Smartree on I believe. It's an old thing I've had forever. The camera I'm using though, the Osmo Pocket 3, has an inbuilt gimbal as well which makes the shots very very smooth
