I find this entire notion to be ridiculous. What makes a planet horrifying, the fact that it will kill you? That is true of every planet other than Earth. And even Earth will kill you, it just does it slowly---which, I would argue, makes it the most horrifying planet of them all.

A nice watch as always! I've been meaning to ask a few things though. I've seen your gas giant moon video, and i'm uncertain about a few things. Those being: How could earth like moons resist the radiation around gas giants? Especially around larger ones? You somewhat implied in your Pandora video that a suficiently strong magnetic field could help with that, but Ganymede in our solar system still gets a lot of radiation despite its magnetic field. Is ganymede's field perhaps too weak for that? The other thing i don't get is, if the moon formed along its parent planet in the icy regions around its star, and migrated inwards, wouldn't that make the moon into an ocean world most of the time? Is there a way that huge water envelope could be removed through natural means? If you are able to provide some insight relating to these, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much for clearing that up for me! I've been wondering about those ones for a long time now.

There's a lot of "KZbin Onion" video channels like Kosmos out there. For instance, there's one known as "Tech Space" that gives loud, flashy clickbaity titles and thumbnails that imply things about the content that just aren't true at all. One that I remember distinctly from a few days ago is that they claimed that James Webb Space Telescope had just proven Hawking's multiverse theory correct. I know that's false and it hasn't; they're still aligning the mirrors! You know that it's false for the same reason. But any layman who doesn't know better than to not be updated on the latest astrophysics news would get fooled into looking at the video, and therefore be exposed to the babbling that amounts to little more than garbage noise pretending to be content, earning the video owners ad revenue.

You should totally do more reaction vid's! This was an awesome video! I honestly think your bluntness is what makes your videos fun to watch.

Yes, it's ridiculous to refer to planets as terrifying. Every single part of the universe will quickly kill you, aside from a few select parts of the Earth's surface. And none of these are nearly as terrifying as humans who engage in torture.
