It's nice to have a makeover of a dorm room with fluorescent lights, school provided bed and desk, etc. I feel like when I see dorm makeover videos nowadays, it's like folks are crafting a whole new room with updated furniture and lights and most kids don't have that luxury!

I agree!! It’s my first year at college this year and I watched a lot of makeovers before putting my room together. It turned out to be pretty simple compared to others on KZbin but I did what I could with what I have, and I like it! (You can see it on a thumbnail of mine recently if you wish😊)

@octobermidnights5 жыл бұрын
honestly this is the most realistic transformation that i’ve seen. most dorm transformations involve getting new furniture, desk, etc etc etc while y’all used what y’all basically already had + some extra details. love it!
@camri.taylor5 жыл бұрын
I love this, my only criticism is I think it would have looked so much better if y’all put removable wallpaper on the door instead of the decals, they feel a bit kitschy to me, and to be honest the rope thing across the window does as well. But I love the makeover, it’s amazing how just a few changes can completely give a new look to a space
@judewatts69424 жыл бұрын
I was honestly thinking the same thing. When Becky had that paper, I legit thought "oh removable wallpaper decals that are in a dark wood for the door. thats a nice idea" and then they did the decals and I was like "oh no the greens are clashing-"
@delaneym41775 жыл бұрын
Y’all get mad when they change “too much” bc it’s not realistic for a college dorm but also get mad that they don’t change enough and it say it seems “lazy.” Just take the video for what it is, instead of nitpicking!

Watering plants that are hanging above an electronic device - that's a disaster that is waiting to happen 😬 unless you take them off every time for watering. Mirror on the crate - if somebody closes the door with too much force it might fly off the crate. I would suggest either putting it further away from the doors or fixing it more securely. Shit happens. Especially in the dorms. But overall, love the way you transformed the room. These series remind me about the fun i had trying to make my dorms room cozy-looking.

In my first year college dorm, I had an entire wall that was the same awful color as that door 😂 I couldn’t do anything with it either, because there was a light in the middle so I could not hang a tapestry over it any any decor only made it stand out more 🙈 made it through though!
@awhshay36815 жыл бұрын
i liked the room besides the door and mirror situation. i used to have that exact mirror on top of a shoebox and it fell over do to the shaking in the house from someone moving around too much, so i’d definitely say it’s a bad idea considering you’re practically living in a apartment situation where people can be disruptive and jump around, i think it would’ve been better to make smth kinda like the plant hanger but with the mirror instead and use the bottom for shoes, make it a bit wider and you could add mini shelves for more storage space or plant/decor space, add mini dowels + mini grids and it can be jewelry storage. The door would’ve looked better if you did something else, if you did sticky hooks and a dowel you could’ve hung some thicker but sheer white curtains and add pretty bead hangers on it, which could’ve tied even more color from the tapestry in with it. Also, ik she loves plants but even if she removed them for watering there’s such a HUGE risk of dripping into her tv, i hope she switches them out and gives the plants to someone or puts them on her window seal.
