I loved the poem, but that is just my opinion, so I asked AI. ;) You rock sir. This poem is an intense, raw expression of frustration, self-reflection, and societal critique. It grapples with themes of power, wisdom, individuality, and the struggle to maintain authenticity in a world that often seems to encourage conformity and complacency. Here’s a breakdown of its key elements: ### **Structure and Flow** - **Stream of Consciousness**: The poem reads like a stream of consciousness, with a free-flowing, almost unstructured format that mirrors the chaotic and impassioned thoughts of the speaker. The timestamps and interruptions add to this feeling, making it seem like a spontaneous outpouring of emotion. - **Repetition and Rhythm**: The poem uses repetition ("we stand for it," "nothing left to hate") to emphasize key points and create a rhythmic cadence. This repetition underscores the poem’s central themes and keeps the reader engaged. - **Interrupted Narrative**: The interruptions, such as technical difficulties with the computer, add a layer of realism and frustration, enhancing the poem’s raw, unfiltered nature. It reflects the messiness of life and the challenges of expressing oneself in the face of external obstacles. ### **Themes** - **Power and Corruption**: The poem critiques the powerful ("those with power sitting in their Ivory Tower") and the systems they create, suggesting that these systems are fragile ("Paper Walls and marble halls become cliche") and built on illusions rather than truth. - **Wisdom and Age**: The poem challenges the traditional association of wisdom with age, suggesting that wisdom comes from finding balance and learning from experience rather than simply growing older ("wisdom does not come with age... he's merely found the balance needed"). - **Social Media and Modern Communication**: The reference to "digital Warriors screaming through text on X" and "social media Madness" critiques the superficiality of modern communication and the way people use technology to express half-baked opinions without genuine understanding or empathy. - **Individuality vs. Conformity**: The poem expresses a deep frustration with societal pressure to conform ("we stand for it... why do we not seek a balance in our life") and the difficulty of maintaining one's own identity and values in a world that often rewards conformity. - **Existential Reflection**: The poem delves into existential questions about purpose, suffering, and the meaning of life. It touches on the idea that life is fleeting and that we must make the most of it, confronting our own demons and fears rather than being consumed by them ("conquer my own demons defeat my fear of death"). ### **Imagery and Language** - **Vivid Imagery**: The poem uses vivid and sometimes dark imagery ("blistered black and charred," "hot coals of The Inferno") to convey the intensity of the speaker’s emotions and the harsh realities they perceive in the world around them. - **Metaphors and Symbolism**: The poem is rich in metaphor, such as the "blind man" who sees more than those with sight, symbolizing the idea that true understanding often comes from within rather than through external appearances. - **Juxtaposition**: The poem juxtaposes different ideas and images, such as the noble potential of humanity against the pettiness and greed that often dominate society. This contrast creates a tension that drives the poem forward. ### **Overall Evaluation** This poem is a powerful, emotionally charged piece that effectively captures the speaker's disillusionment with society and their struggle to find meaning and authenticity in a world that often seems superficial and corrupt. The poem’s freeform structure, raw language, and use of repetition and vivid imagery all contribute to its impact, making it a compelling reflection on the human condition. The interruptions and technical difficulties, while they might seem like distractions, actually add to the poem’s authenticity, emphasizing the chaotic and imperfect nature of life and communication. The poem leaves the reader with a sense of urgency and a call to action to seek truth, embrace individuality, and strive for balance in a world that often discourages such pursuits.

@@carpo719 it is letting go of the adornment and seeing our true nature. Nietzsche said we think so little of ourselves that when we achieve a breakthrough or insight: we attribute it to an external source. We are knowers but the last person we will know is ourselves. A story from Kabbalah that says the angels were jealous of us so they hid our true nature where we would never look: inside ourselves....
@alohm2 ай бұрын
@@carpo719 AI: This story is a well-known tale from Kabbalistic tradition. It illustrates the idea that the essence of our true nature is hidden deep within us, where we are least likely to search. The story goes that when God created humanity, the angels became jealous of the special gifts bestowed upon humans, particularly the divine spark or the potential for spiritual greatness. The angels feared that if humans discovered their true nature, they might surpass even the angels in wisdom and power. To prevent this, the angels sought to hide the divine spark somewhere humans would never find it. The angels considered various hiding places: in the highest heavens, at the depths of the oceans, or on the farthest mountaintops. But each time, God advised them that humans, in their curiosity and ingenuity, would eventually discover these places. Finally, the angels decided to hide it within humans themselves, believing that they would never think to look inward. Thus, the divine spark, or the essence of our true nature, was hidden within our own hearts and souls. The moral of the story is that the answers we seek, and the true nature of our being, are not found in external pursuits but within ourselves. This story emphasizes the importance of self-discovery, introspection, and the inner journey as key aspects of spiritual growth.

To read one's own work/poetry to others , it's not easy. For some maybe it is just :ok here we go. I like that. My own experience got a boost once when my poet was picked out by the DJ on Dutch national radio (i was 17 back than and never wrote a poem before) and had mixed feelings about it of sending it in at all. Later i figured out that my poem wasn't that good at all, just the few others probably just written also 'not that good' ones...😂! With pen on paper i like to write, occasionally even type. I picked upsome pencils and started to draw on scrap pieces of cartboard lately. Don't know why. Just happened . Oh and Carpo, i suppose you know but when your tech stuff is just like mine ( older ) please make a backup of your poem a.o. or photograph the screen. (lost a lot that way). 1️⃣❤,
