Police dog stories always interest me, and hone you have access to a guy like Steve "Zane" Stoops there are no shortage. I often refer to Steve as my brother from another mother. He has more experience when it comes to police and military dogs than just about anyone out there.
In this episode we talk about some great "Muzzle Stories." These are all real life instances where a muzzled police k9 has saved a life. Really great information that relates to police work and understanding the lifesaving work that police dogs do every day.

I almost hated to leave this comment, as the count was at "69"! 🤣🤣🤣 I just wanted to send out my best wishes to all the police force and thank you for your protection. I also send a big hug to the precious fur- missles of the police force- they are invaluable and a force to be reckoned with! Thanks for all that you do! 😀

I absolutely loved this episode especially the part at the end where Steve just wanted to stay in his own lane about kids and parenting an his only opinion was that they need to get out an live life that's some serious wisdom there

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it 1000 times, my grandfather was a state trooper and the initiative that took place after he retired from the front lines (he retired and went on as a trainer) was the worst thing that could happen to the force. The push to have as many officers as possible let a lot of bad apples in. I mean I’ve been pulled over and im a big old chicken when it comes to the law. The officer went to my passenger side door and tried to open it (it was 10 pm, I was 23 and alone, it was locked) put his hand on his gun and screamed at me to unlock my doors. I was still looking out my drivers side window and didn’t notice he went to the other side until he yanked the handle. Never showed me his badge, I was so scared I forgot where my lock button was. Turns out he was looking for a white utility van. I had a white blazer. That’s not my grandfathers force. It’s just not. They need to slow the training down, be more selective, follow the law themselves!

Great work sir and unfortunately, I encountered a canine police officer a couple months back at the gas station so I began to strike a conversation and told him how lucky he is and wonderful. It is to have a canine officer as a partner, and he looked at me and said no actually, it’s quite boring because I have no one to talk to, and I was just left, dumbfounded finish, pumping the gas and went on my car said nothing more to him

Hahha! You mentioned the horse ball. I got one for my horse and shee was terrified of it. So, I figured it said it was puncture proof, I'd give it to my monster GSD puppy. He loved it. For all of 5 minutes. Until he punctured it. 😂🤣😂🤣. That thing gave this big WHOOOSH and my dog stood up on his hind legs, cocked his head and stared until it went flat. Then I had to chase him around for 20 minutes just to get the deflated ball back 🤣🤣

@@zaneeltoro6412 BTW Steve, I had previously messaged Robert in a live youtube. he said that I should give my dog bite training. On the other side of this coin I think I'd rather be on a bucking horse, than on the business end of my boys teeth 🤣😂 He is 8mths old, I'm 5.4 and he can put his paws on my shoulders. His pearly whites are in good proportionate size to the rest of him if that tells you anything. He is the size of a pony! However, I call him my goofy goober. He's very sweet, loves attention but sharp as a tack. Stubborn, but smart.

@@zaneeltoro6412 When I was in the hospital there was a guy next to me that had been kicked in the face by a horse. You can imagine what that did, you should be very aware when you are around horses. Dog's average size maybe 60 pounds, horse's average size maybe 1000 pounds.

Well shit, you don't need to train an aussie to use its snout as impact tool. Two things they do instinctively run up behind you and thump you in the lower back and try to bump you around with their snout. You have to train them that people are not sheep.

I am panicking and really need some advice. I hav a senior Male German Shepard /Lab mix Not fixed. We are suppose to get a Male Rottie puppy in about 3 weeks. I came across a post on FB that has lead me to believe that this will be a disaster waiting to happen. That when the Rottie reaches approx 2 years old they will fight for dominance and have to live separated Forever!! Regardless on if I get the puppy fixed or not. (I would prefer not to.) Please share your advice before my brain explodes from panic😢

The audiotors wouldn't do what they do if it wasn't for the corrupt members of the police force. If they upheld the law equally even with their own. People would be way more respectful and compliment. It goes both ways

I have honestly lost count of the number of times that people have done “drive by “ pets on my bullmastiff cross (he’s just over 90lbs and still growing), some of them even have children with them that are small enough that they’re face to face with my dog and the dad does it, it’s so shocking and scary to me when I think about how a dog could rip a kid apart because their parents have put them in this situation! I’ve noticed that it’s always men that have done it, women and children seem to stand back and ask first which is awesome to see, I even got him a harness where you can put “DO NOT PET” or “ASK TO PET” badges on and these entitled jerks just don’t care. They and their kids are just lucky that he’s so good natured 😑 It’s so disrespectful to the dog and their owner/handler and I think you’re right that a lot of people aren’t raising their kids and dogs correctly, I’m scared that something will happen to my dog because those people don’t step up to the plate.

It’ll be a really sad day if they start taking police dogs away, I don’t understand how people think it’d be better to take away a non-lethal asset when there are already so many people being shot on both sides of the law.

@@reneemckinnon5731 Police have a really, really bad image problem. They need to do everything they can to rehabilitate their image. Wayne Resnick who was head of Federal Parole for LA County said that its probably more important to get rid of a useful tool instead of continuing to lower police image more and more in the minds of the public.

@@RobertCabralDogs Happy Easter Mr Cabral, Ive followed you now for a few years. Ive never claimed to be an expert. It doesn't take an expert to understand that muzzling a working dog that is trained for police work is hobbling the dog by removing his main source of defense. Even in the podcast this guy tells the story of a kid with a gun in the woods and he sent a muzzled dog IMO he put the k9 in harms way along with any other person within gunshot distance. No more does it take an expert to understand that positive only training ,methods do not work. Zane El Toro chose to respond to my comment with a one word smart ass reply instead of explaining his position. It pissed me off as there was no need. Then mistakenly you chose to follow suit. I know it doesnt matter to you by as of today Ive cancelled my membership to your website. I enjoy your content and this has nothing to do with your training methods I wish you nothing but the best.
