Just came back from Poland, my 28th time there. I'm there twice a year, three months at a time :-) Have a Polish wife and we have a house there. Warsaw there and Orlando here. Same here grandma would tell my mom your in American now you speak English. The only time they spoke Polish was when they did not want us kids to know what they are talking about. The only words I learned were the swear words, as they would course to us in Polish :-)

We have half a million of Polish descendants in Michigan, with something like 50 thousand of very new immigrants who don’t even speak English well, yet we DON’T have a Polish consulate, or what’s worse - no direct flights to Poland. No flights Detroit-Warsaw? Really? Sucks. Just sucks…

Just got back from Poland yesterday after 5 weeks, you ought to try the trip from Australia, its a long drive old mate! 3rd time there (Polska Zona) and totally love the country from North to South, East to West 🙂

@@johnplinlasvegas2055 This is news to me. For years we had to renew our passports in Chicago, which was extremely painful after introduction of the new passport format. I’ll check to it. Thank you for this information. So what’s left is direct flights Detroit-Poland. Only the desperate people fly from Detroit via Chicago or New York. You only need to fly that rout once not to make this mistake ever again. 90% of those who live in Michigan and Windsor, Ontario fly to Poland Lufthansa, Air Canada or Delta switching planes in Frankfurt, Amsterdam or Toronto. Changing flights on the way back in the US is an absolute no-no. LOT should know it better. Cheers!

@@andrewdec8049 Regarding direct flights from Detroit to Poland, that is a decision that would come directly from LOT. I know before the pandemic they had added several new cities in the US for flights, but obviously nothing during the pandemic. There are a lot more decisions that go into the process of adding flights to a city in the US that they have to consider including capacity issues at WAW. I lived in Detroit for over 30 years, so I do understand what you are saying though. My suggestion would be to get with the city, airport and your local Polonia and see if you all can come together with a proposal led by your Honorary Consul (he may already be looking at this). Being though that Chicago already has these flights and is very close to Detroit might make this something of a difficult project, but still worth the time…

ja pierdole XD Czy zawsze musi znaleźć się jakiś oszołom zakręcony na punkcie wyszukiwania "komuchów" wszędzie gdzie się da? I jeszcze to "trzeba". Kim ty jesteś, żeby tak rozkazywać? Załóż swój kanał i tam pytaj, albo wracaj do filmików z żółtymi napisami.

@@Camel9991 1. Nic nie pisałem o komuchach, 2. nie oglądam filmów z napisami. 3. Nie jestem oszołomem, po prostu facet mi się nie spodobał, mówi jak jakieś ciało obce, nieadekwatnie do swojej roli. Jeśli chcesz wiedzieć więcej, poszukaj informacji na temat działalności służb w obszarze dyplomatycznym RP i środowisku Polonii amerykańskiej. Może i przesadziłem, ale mówi się trudno, nie będę edytował czy usuwał. Ty też się nie popisałeś z komentarzem.
