Let me explain very briefly what the name Pizza Hut means. Originally, it meant "hat" and not "hut" because it started in Kansas with a big German population and in German "Hut" means "hat" and it is pronounced as "hoot". That is why the roof looks primarily like a hat but with a big similarity to a little house, just to play on words. But later, when the chain started to get big, the German "Hut" became English "hoot" to stress the sound, especially sound made by human voice. Since such sound is made by mouth used also for eating pizza, the actual meaning refers to human mouth in general. That is why all Pizza Hut restaurants have a bell to suggest this sound. In other words, "Pizza Hut" should be pronounced "Pizza Hoot", this is how most of non-English speakers including Polish, German, Spanish, would pronounce it. There is much more to the meaning behind the name, the shape of the roof, or the pizza in general. But it would take a book to explain.

I think you should ask the ministerstwo kultury or city katowice or the województwo śląskie they really up to sponsoring lately. In particular city Katowice you are going to represent them though.

Keep your faith strong, Poland. Unchecked secularism always brings emptiness that is often filled with other unwholesome ideologies.

Love it! To be honest I didn't think too much about it while living in Poland. Yes, that little thing on top of the Pizza Hut looks like a hat rather than the roof. At least from the Polish perspective :D On the other hand hut=chata sounds similar enough to make it easier to remember :)

I actually started to think about why people may react this way if you share how much you earn and to be honest I have no idea why but I don't think polish people share how much they earn at all. You share with your closer friends and family and it's a MAYBE becase idk how other families but I've never asked my own mom or dad how much they earn per month. This guy clearly overreacted but generaly speaking its a very unpleasent topic to talk about not only because someone maybe jealous. Its often the case but it may also indicate you're shallow and materialistic and you brag about how much you earn or it's only your own business and idk.. it's really interesting I wonder what other poles would say about it. Hm... I think its super impolite both to ask about salary and brag?

At 4:48 it is claimed that the Stones damaged their own equipment that allegedly was made for 110 V. That can't be true, as they were in the middle of a European tour and all the European countries had 220 V power supply.
