If only I saw this sooner I currently live in a similar shelter in the woods this would be a great power source I’ve been looking for

I would use it to plug in my vanity mirror/make up case while out hiking/camping, or while waiting in line at the hair salon. Lord knows a gal can't be seen in wilderness without her properly applied eye shadows and one must look the utmost best when going in to look even better at a hair salon. They don't always provide chair-side mirrors and plug-ins, you know. Other than this I would love to have a truly portable power pack that i could run my cpap machine off on while wild camping on foot. It would compliment and be used in tandem with my converted van to camper solar set up. (I did everything myself on the van from build to solar set up - quite the learning curve and i loved it). There are so many wonderful places to explore in the mountains of Vancouver island, BC and beyond, but I have to forgo a good night's breathe to get out there beyond the limits of my van. Thanks for the review and keep on keeping on. Love your humor by the way :)

Along with the usual uses - charging nav/cell/camera/toys...
@myowntwohands-wildbydesign19704 жыл бұрын
And other un-usual uses - running a pump for a one-time use jacuzzi built from cedar cut with a stone axe and pegged together, sealed with the ear wax of 1000 squirrels harvested with a home-made slingshot made from the branch of a Yew tree and the intestines of a Samsquatch....their innards are like super elastic rubber. I guess they would have to be to process human skeletal shards?

This would be great for my back country camping to charge my camera batteries and phone, great review. impressed with how many devices you can charge at one time. like the size as well, fits most backpacks.

I really enjoy your videos. I love your honest tell it like it is way of talking. I think Power banks are a great thing to have. You never know when you will need power. I love that it can be recharged in the car, and it does not take long to charge. It is amazing how many things you have charging all at the same time. The flash light is really bright. I like that you can plug small camping things in it, that need electricity. The fact that you dinged it, and it didn't effect it, shows how tuff it is. Fantastic review.

Looks like an excellent bit of kit for my way of life, off grid living, power supply at present, lorry battery's, but there not very portable due to size and weight and charging them takes forever, thankfully I have some good friends who charge them up for me, that would be an ideal bit of kit for my needs and lightweight, decent honest review, cheer's and atb to you.

Hey OGW, Glad your back on the radar. I like the look of that power source, seems to be exactly what i've been looking for- lightweight, solar rechargeable and adaptable. I prospect for gold, tektites and chrisophrase in remote Western Australia (WA), sometimes it's better to leave the 4WD and walk when the terrain looks a bit dodgy. I reckon that bit of kit could recharge my detector battery no probs, also good for piece of mind to have a universal power source for GPS and sat phone.

Does this unit come with a solar panel that you can take into the bush to recharge it? If they made one with maybe a foldable panel for the bush, I’d consider getting one.

nice...they will be handy after shtf...!! how does the AC work...?? does it have a built in INVERTER? or is it some kind of circuitry that converts the DC to AC...?? thanx again good review...nice loking product and i like the extended warranty...that really shows confidence in a product THANX
@lemdixon014 жыл бұрын
It must have some kind of inverter built inside of it, up to 250 watts he said so that's pretty good, so could run 1 or 2 low power house hold appliances.

Sounds like a nice piece of kit! Several years ago we had a derecho hit where I live. We were without power for 2 weeks with temperature hovering around 109f (43c) and no wind at all. Worst of all, we had no means of getting news and information once the phones ran out of power. I'd most certainly use something like that power bank to keep the phones charged, run some USB lighting and probably a small USB fan to provide some relief when such an event happens again. Thanks for such an informative video, I had no idea something so small but powerful existed!

With all that’s going on it may be time to reconsider building a cabin with solar to charge a small pup like that. I’d hate to do it, but my old barn may need to be converted covertly. It’s already been standing for over 100yrs... what’s another 100?

Hi George. The Ravpower does not come with a solar panel, it would be nice if it did. All of these type of battery backups I have seen require you to bring your own panel to the party.

Off Grid Warrior, thanks! I do a fair bit of work on offgrid cabins, and I grow tired of the sound of the generator, not to mention the substance that it burns. I’m looking into the “goal zero” battery power sources. Have you heard of them? If so, what do you think of them?
