Puppets-they’re child’s play, right? Spend five minutes watching Barnaby Dixon and you’ll surely disagree. At first, it might seem strange for a 26-year-old to be hand-building puppets in his bedroom and shooting videos of his performances for a living, but the puppet prodigy’s creations are completely original and totally addicting to watch. Barnaby started his career solely to make KZbin videos ( / barnabydixon , but recently hit it big after winning a 50,000 Euro grand prize on the German puppet talent show, "Die Puppenstars."

I don't think being a puppeteer is a weird thing, nor is it childish. It's art, and I never heard someone say that playing a music instrument is for kids. People just don't see the amount of training and handcrafting behind those "toys". This guy is 26 years old, and he is passionate about what he has to offer.

What I love about his style is that he managed to fit and devise a lot of movement constricted in a certain position of hands. You've seen ventriloquist dummies, marionette, and even simple paper puppets attached to sticks, but this is a completely different form that requires skill and coordination to perform. And that's what i call talent
