I know, I'm as shocked as you are... this is my first positive Pleasure Beach vlog in years but everything outside of what the park has already announced was closed (Ice Blast, Grand Prix, Big One) ran smoothly today. I think Ice blast will be back but under a new name. And it’s very believable that they are waiting new parts or waiting for bits that have been sent off to be reconditioned to be returned back to the park.

It’s cheaper to demolish with how many things need replacing on it. I’m still under the impression it’ll go and after a chat to a few people on park yesterday they’re also still adamant it’s leaving… not sure why she said one thing when certain teams on park have been told another but time will tell I guess!

I have to say I love the Laughing Man's new outfit it looks proper vintage compared to the other one he used to wear. Sad he wasn't moving perhaps they could fix that up? Ghost Train's new scenes are so good! River Caves needs a full refurb.

River Caves looks tired... some scenes are still beautiful but it just feels worn down, I wouldn't be sad to see it go or completely overhauled. Ghost Train's new scenes are sick!! Some curtains up around the ride too and the animatronic (in my thumbnail on the ghost train POV) still hasn't gone in yet so that's still to come!

Just got back from bpb and I loved the new scenes in ghost train , I jumped out of my skin at the mirror when the white woman appeared and the monestry bit was so creepy ! The end part was too light though 😢 ! I can’t confirm the Valhalla hammer was buggered , the flame arrows didn’t work and the ring of fire was off 😢

Great video as always dude. Have to say I love the changes to Ghost train. One of my favourites at the park (even if a sensory overload due to my autism). I think the chapel part looks great. There's something creepy about hooded figures. Reminds me of dark chapel at the tower dungeons.

I will indeed and my best piece of advice is to ignore social media and the 'community' as you don't want to dive into all that drama, enjoy a drama free space with your friends who don't mind being on camera and just enjoy yourself, build up your confidence, make sure you're authentic and being yourself (no one can ever be a better you, than YOU) and just have fun with it, the more you have fun the more it'll come through in your content. It’s also worth pointing out that Nick Thompson went out of his way to work with S&S to have the modern steeplechase developed for them as a new product. That suggests to me that they do not want to let go of that ride if they can avoid it, Whilst I don’t think highly of a man that I’ve made that very clear, I know it’s one of her favourites as well, I just can’t see why he would go to the trouble of getting them involved if there wasn’t some kind of Alterio motive Going on, either replacing it with the modern version, or upgrading the horses with the modern restraints that the new versions have.

@@LiftHillsandThrills yes, the problem is when you’re calling for steeple and national to be removed that’s not helping that that’s making it worse, I get that you don’t like them which is fine but just say they’re not for me and this don’t ride them again. Grand Prix is probably just knackered and they don’t want to spend the money keeping it going, I get the feeling Amanda would just replace rides rather than increase the ride lineup which is the opposite of what I know Nick wants to do. Which is another reason why she needs to give the park to him and eventually Morgan when he’s ready.

I'm not going to change for anyone but understand your point, but in that same regard it's not going to change me saying it in future haha She knows what rides are popular and what aren't because that's the only bit of good that useless ticketing system actually does (keep tabs on visitors per ride) there are more rides on the chopping block and within the next 5 years there will be a few surprises along the way if they carry on in the direction they're determined to go in. I hope it pays off for them but for me they need to move forward, it's time to step into a future and to stop looking into the past and relying on nostalgia when generations sadly nowadays just don't care about that nostalgia

Grand National is the best night ride in the country, it beating you up and feeling sketchy AF is the whole point. I don't like the messaging of fuck uncomfortable things, GN is a masterpiece. Big Dipper is slow and has no airtime though, after the first drop it's bad and should be grav grouped

People are going way too harsh on bpb. I get that the opening day was pretty bad but it wasn’t bad enough that Amanda Thompson should resign because of it. Especially because everyone got free tickets for the next day anyway.

I think it's more arriving at a park where everything was closed or breaking down, Amanda posting that really aggressive tweet online and then giving a very loaded passive aggressive speech to open the park. It rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way, it wasn't very professional but she doesn't seem to care and that's the issue. You've paid a chunk of cash to get in and all of those things combined wouldn't give anyone a good impression or day out and sadly that's what happened. Today, MUCH better, I do feel sorry for her at times but she can't help it, she's true to herself, she's brutally honest which I have to respect but maybe someone to just check her messages etc before she posts would do her the world of good!

Hey Doug, it's with good authority that I know BPB were already looking to replace it and had plans in place to do so that sadly didn't materialise for other reasons. I'm happy to see it demolished to make way for a modern ride that will attract people, people aren't visiting Pleasure Beach because of the older rides that are slowly contributing to the death of the park, the park themselves are stepping away from their history and yes I don't entirely agree with this either but they need to move with the times or you'll find that Steeplechase / Nash won't be the only thing demolished, it'll be the entire park!

Good ops at pleasurebeach thats a good joke. They are the worse team of ride operators ive ever experienced over the yrs. So slow getting any ride started whether flat or coaster. I have zero interest in going here again. 2 decent coasters and a couple of k flat/dark rides and 1 good water ride. Not worth the 3hr journey nor price. 1 positive youve done a good vlog

It does need to be heading in a better direction moving forward I agree, no one wants to see it close and the fact a new ride will probably be on park within 2-3 years is a positive. Whilst I don't expect major changes with the current team I at least hope they get better footfall and improve bit by bit.

That’s the new name, get used to it but call it whatever you like 😊 if you go into the shop there’s 3 different names for the park on retail merchandise already! Pleasure Beach Resort, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Pleasure Beach Lancashire

They need to remember people come to Blackpool for a holiday and then pay to go into Blackpool Pleasure Beach they don't go to Preston, Lancaster, St Anne's etc they come to Blackpool and stay at a hotel in Blackpool , it's sad and a form of snobbery trying to distance themselves from Blackpool , the park is in Blackpool and always has been , they should get used to it! Oh are the council gonna change Blackpool Tower to Tower on the Prom ? 🙄

@@LiftHillsandThrills it's a bad mistake , I think they will regret this and I guarantee they will go back to Blackpool Pleasure Beach the next 2 years . Their priorities should be to get people into the park , focusing on the park not Ice shows and Pantomines.
