Starting a tech startup solo can be a challenging but rewarding journey. It requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and determination to turn a great idea into a successful business. However, it's not always smooth sailing and there may be times when you need to make positive changes to keep your startup on track.
One important aspect of building a tech startup solo is having a solid business plan in place. This should outline your goals, target market, and strategies for achieving success. It's also important to continuously reassess and adjust your plan as needed to stay on track and stay ahead of the competition. Don't be afraid to pivot or make positive changes to your business. Be open to change and succeed!

IMO, failing is the only way to succeed in making any startup. I am learning that myself- don't beat yourself over it. On top of "done is better than perfect", I would add: "taking any step forward is better than taking none at all". As always - awesome video!

Love this video, i am a software engineer and starting freelance and tend to overthink as a perfectionist. This is where i am trying to improve myself on as well, to first concentrate on the functionality and fundamentals and then add on top of that! Recently discovered your channel and love the vibes.

I'd love to watch you do another attempt! There is so much value in watching people fail, succeed, and pivot. I watch these kinds of videos for encouragement and new ideas.

You've learnt important lessons. The most important thing is keep improving as an individual. I look at development as horizontal and vertical progress. In horizontal progress you keep improving and enhancing existing features, while in vertical you create new features. As a rule of thumb, try to not get stuck for too long on horizontal progress

So many lessons! And that’s part of the journey, not everything is perfect right away, but I’m so excited to push forward because I know how closer the finish line is with this new approach! 💪

Hey Filip, Thanks for this and thinking to continue my start-up project too. I also like, Node.js, MongoDB and Tailwind. Have you start thinking where you going to host this project? especially your code (like Vercel, AWS or digital Ocean), your MongoDB and your images/videos (AWS S3 or Cloudinary)? Looking for cost efficient too. Thank you! Zar

Awesome video! Thanks for sharing your journey! The best way to win the game is to be in the game! Making poor decisions is ok as long as we learn from them and improve our process! I'm also building a solo startup in public in my channel. I'll be following your journey and using it as inspiration for mine. If you wanna chat about startups and entrepreneurism some day, that would be great! 😊 Wish you all the best!

Hi! I need help with something. I'll try to keep it short. I moved to Florida 2 years ago to start college there. A few months ago I moved back to Jersey. I started my associates degree in Computer Programming and Analysis and I'm graduating in about a year or so. I want to be a software engineer so I want to transfer to a good college in the Jersey-New York area to continue my education with a Bachelors but the problem is that I've been trying to get in touch with my college advising center because I dont know if the A.S degree that Im going for right now (Computer Programming and Analysis) is the best one to transfer to another college and so I can do my bachelors in software engineering, I say this because they also offer an A.S in computer science and I dont really know if thats the one that I had to take in order to be a software engineer or if that the one that Im going for right now is the correct one

I’m happy to see others are in the same place! Just find tools that help you execute a minimum acceptable version of what you want, get it working and then start the perfection and feature release process! Happy to have you on this journey with me!

all code, no code, low code - in the end it doesn't matter much. what matters is pushing this baby out into the world and get hate from losers because you've put minimum of effort into your own life and future :) well, maybe not "minimum" but you know what I mean. all the best Filip!

@@developerfilip I know it's true because I have 100s of "projects" in my "development" folder. folder is at least 10 years old, I moved it from old machines multiple times. I just started another "project" 2 days ago and it's like this vicious circle of lying to myself any of this will actually get done and out :) that's why I like when people actually get something out of "never-ending idea" phase and put product in front of users.
@developerfilip
@developerfilip Жыл бұрын
I couldn’t agree more. I myself have multiple projects in-development that I have never finished. It’s all about getting into the mindset of having something working that a user can use, rather than something pretty that nobody can use 😅

The CTA "Purchase Course" has a problem of being gray and not appealing. You want to highlight this CTA and drive people to click on it. I would suggest a re-design
@developerfilip
@developerfilip Жыл бұрын
Oh there will absolutely be a re-design! That button has to be crazy eye-catchy. This is just a proof of concept design, not even an MVP. It will definitely look better than what I have shown. But you have highlighted and spotted a great point!

@@developerfilip ah yeh, forgot about that branding and marketing stuff, yes, that part may take a few days more. But you can just pay someone to do that branding and marketing for you to speed things up. I forget remember SaaS course sites names, but you should use them, they create all the course site stuff for you and your clients. You should avoid doing things from scratch as much as possible!
