It’s difficult to believe the murderer has only killed once. It’s the sort of horrific act you read about in war crime trials so I wonder if he had done something similar overseas, in more chaotic circumstances.

The problem with this case was that in order for medical personnel to try to save her life, they destroyed most of the DNA evidence that would have been there. This suspct has been contacted by an independent investigator, and he was none too happy to have her call him in his different state home. My hope is that they will come up with something to be able to put the guy away. His family deserves to know what kind of a brutal pos he is.

It’s not Walter, he gave his DNA and he wasn’t a match. She knew him well & he submitted his DNA at the time of the investigation. The man they are speaking of was not known to her but by acquaintances. The person you’re speaking of was a well known friend of hers, which the police just said was someone she met that night.

I just watched the documentary. He moved away and told the reporter that the sheriff's department "ruined his life." I assume he's still not named.

@auraterry3548 People have come out of these situations...saying that they could hear everything going on around them. So ya know...saying they don't feel pain is hogwash. Scientists once thought children didn't feel pain the same as adults. We now know...that's just not true!

@lstewart417 I can tell you...being a science teacher and my husband, a PharmD (thats a doctor) there is MORE science that shows...people do feel pain and are aware of their surroundings. I was in a coma...I was very cold the entire time & heard people talking and felt pain.

They were fireworks. Very difficult to trace. Much of the firework had been removed and destroyed during surgery. So evidence was lost.

Surprised one of Carol's family(son) or friends hasn't gained knowledge of unsub and did what justice wouldve taken forever not to do! If even to have known this woman only casually or socially or even as a friend of a spouse or friend the impulsiveness for vengeance and justice wouldve no doubt been quite strong. Even so believing the vengeance truly is the Lord's, the heinousness and pure anti-feminine malice and MO of this brutally evil deed, wouldve evoked the all too human desire for swift and lethal retalitory justice. There's some pretty good reason's those cops have this unknown character as a prime suspect. I hope he has to look over his shoulder or in his rearview mirror always wondering, "Is today the day?"
