I have the Legion 7 with the 13900hx, upgraded to 64gb ram, 5tb WD Black ssd, 1tb samsung ssd, and the rtx 4090 and it's going to replace my desktop this week. Plays most games at 4k just fine.

Pretty much the same man but I just have two 1tb ssd and 32gb of ram I do have a random question tho wean I use gpu z it reported the Rtx 4090 as the max Q version and says the max tdp is 80w yet wean I’m gaming and useing Msi afterburner it says it’s pulling 175w on the 4090 it’s just odd for me idk

Man almost everyone gets the wrong idea of what balance/auto mode is, it doesn't "adjust" the TDP according to what you're doing on screen any more than the other modes already do, the difference between all 3 stock power modes are just the max TDP allowed,

my question is how well do these gaming laptops hold up in high temperature summers? can you even play on that thing in summer when you have no air conditioning? i am thinking about buying a gaming laptop for 1080p gaming since i have insane electricity bills. imo todays gaming pcs draw too much power, thats why i want to buy a gaming laptop. would be nice if you would include how much a gaming laptop draws from the wall when you are playing. i am not really comfortable with gaming pcs that draw over 500 watts for gaming, since i game very often and it shows in my bills lol. these gaming laptops have the perfect balance between power draw and gaming power imo.

its quite leightweight compared to other 16 inch laptops at just 2.15kg, its battery is also good on igpu mode if u have the ryzen variant at 7 to 9 hours for mine

I bought it for 2000 SGD and I think it was worth it. It is light with long battery life so I can carry it around from one classroom to another. Mine came with free monitor, mouse and headphone tho … so the 2000 dollar was more worth it

That thing is 1200p and plastic. This is 1600p and all metal construction. Gaming laptops are hard to buy. After a lot of research I went with the slim 7i, if I didn’t I would have probably gotten the asus G16. Everything else either has a crappy screen, or tacky plastic construction. I’ve had my slim 7i for 3 months now, it’s been amazing. Granted it’s the 4070 and 13900k version. The Lenovo software works well. I will also say this thing gets loud in performance mode. But turns out all laptops do.

@@ForTheViolenceI went with the pro 7i with the 4090 absolutely amazing performance I thought about the 4070 laptop a lot but the 8gb of vram killed it for me the price difference between the 4080 and 90 wasn’t as much as you would think for 20% more performance and the extra vram

Wrong! 4+8 = 12, not 14 cores. In our age it's not hip to do math, so some of us here who watch these videos will not understand that it's got 50% more performance cores than it does (because the specs were likely copied from i5-13500H, not i7-13700H). 6 P-cores, not 4. Like, it's right in your face at 7:41.

I've been using Legion 7i for the past 3 years. It's still performing really good, doesn't heat up a lot (I clean and repaste it after every 6 months). Yeah a desktop is better but for people who travel a lot, such a laptop is a dream come true. The hype about the legion series is worth it. Lenovo has been making the best gaming laptops for quite some years.

I built my first pc as at like 14 22 years ago and ran halo 1 actually decently it was before i learned about gpus. i even got a toshiba in like 2008 and it ran until almost 2015 when i built my first gaming pc. And tbh, I dont like the way the psu is on the bottom it feels top heavy cuz theres no voltage pulling on the cpu. The problem with these gaming laptops is they overheat while gaming. with this money spent you can build very powerful Gaming desktop pc. I built my own recently AMD R9 5900x/MSI RTX 3060 12GB Gaming X/64GB DDR4 3733 Mhz/ and MSI B550 Gaming Plus motherboard. Amazing performance!
