*A Powerful Thin Laptop* - Acer Aspire 5 (2023) | i5 13th Gen RTX 2050 🔥

I have the 15.6 inch version of this laptop. So anyone who has question about the battery backup, I have been using my laptop for 7 months now and I have been getting around 8 hours of battery backup while doing light coding or normal web browser surfing. But while viewing videos, it gives 6 hours max battery backup. And while the graphic card is in use, like while playing a game, you can't expect more than 2 hours of battery backup. A great thing is that the fans are not noisy like other laptops with graphic card. And if anyone wants to know about gaming performance of this laptop, I get constant 60 fps (can get more but I have locked my frame rate to 60) while running fortnite on DirectX11 preset graphics. I even played some games like Spiderman, Miles Morales which gave me a constant 60 fps on medium graphics. It would drop to 45 fps on high graphics. If you are a student who needs a laptop for study + personal use like gaming and video editing and all, this is a great choice.

Lenovo IdeaPad gaming 3 rz 7 6800h rtx 3050 85 watts at 58k or acer nitro 5 i5 13th gen rtx 2050 65 watts at 53k ( i need it for editing and coding and very casual gaming 2-3 time a month only for fun, my main concern is editing and coding so which is better ? Is i5 13th gen is better for both as editing and coding are cpu intensive task, or should i go for better gpu ( but i don't think gpu plays a major role in editing and coding and also 2050 and 3050 are almost same... So can anyone tell me what should i do please ?

@@study5325 Well, I'll enlighten you that my Acer aspire 5 has core i5 13th gen but it is from the U series, which is especially built for optimising the battery usage which is the main reason for the laptop's long battery life inspite of having a dedicated graphics card. If a longer battery life is not a compulsion for you, I would suggest you to go for laptops with H series processors because they are built and known for providing best output and for that, they consume a lot of power. You can expect 2-4 hours of battery life while doing normal day to day tasks in H series processor laptops, depending on the model. I personally chose U series because I needed a longer battery life, I was ready to adjust for the lower processing (compared to H series) for it.

I never turn off the graphic card, even while doing light stuff. It doesn't make a lot of difference. But you can still turn of the graphic card by opening device manager > display adapters > right click on RTX 2050 > select disable device. You can turn it on again with the same process by selecting enable device.

@@SILENTKILLER-ns3kx I haven't faced any heating issues. Of course the laptop heats a lot when graphics card is in use, but it hasn't affected any process. But make sure you have good ventilation, I strongly suggest keeping laptop on a hard surface such as a table, keeping it on your lap or sofa or a bed would worsen the heating and then you might start facing major issues
