The problem with training both is limited promotion items. If you want to promote both at a reasonable time, it would mean delaying Cormag his promotion. And well I don't need to tell you why thats not a smart move.

As already mentioned, small as it may be. When going into wyvernknight you loose the small niche of using the triange attack on anyone but her. Which prevents you from the cool posibility of doing guaranteed 3 vidofnir crits in one turn.

Vanessa’s the hardest carry of the majority of my FE8 runs TBH. Enemies are weak enough her combat is totally fine, and she’s one of very few units to have something Seth can’t do better in flight.

As a big figure in the Vanessa community, some stand-outs: She is the only unit who can recruit Lute early. She can single-handedly take care of the spider. She can bait and drop units across the rivers in 8. FK Vanessa can get both villages in Eir9 on her own safely. These are things no other unit can do that she needs not even a single point of Strength for.

1) recruiting lute early matters nothing Because her village is not in danger and you can just bust the snag and go there normally 2) you mean the spider that comes so late your Seth can intercept him ? Also her combat against him sucks Because her dmg output is bad 3) ch8 doesn't have rivers??? I think you meant 7 ? Anyway that only matters if you're doing an LTC, otherwise you would just go normally, especially since ferrying units around would take a long time because you only have 1 flier, same time you could have used go go around the river normally

Fe8 would be so cool if Vanessa could recruit her dad, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, and stomp enemies together with him. Anyways I know Vanessa’s objectively better but I will forever be Tana-pilled. She’s just got better unit feel, y’know?

Tana has more of a presence. Even if we take away her noble status, her upbeat, happy attitude along with her childishness brings more charm and character than Vanessa's stalwart feel (especially when we already have Gilliam and Moulder too)

Vanessa is bad with Javelins until prmotion. goomba stomping with melee is the way to go.

I will always the first one here, even for Vanessa of all people. Speaking of her...I've barely used her NGL, probably cause I don't like first pegs, but hey she does stomp when I do use her so I'll give her that one

Extremely overrated unit and her reputation as being one of the " best " in the game in extremely laughable Her combat is bad, 5 base str and 35% growth and facing WTD for most of the early game is bad The early game brigands have 5-6 AS so she never doubles them at base unless she's using the awful slim lance, with an iron lance she deals 7 dmg against them and they have ~24 HP, so it's 4HKO, and that's just her ch2 combat when enemies are at their weakest lol " But but!! She can fly and that's super useful!!! Especially early game!! " Is it though? Ch2 : can rescue ross and garcia, not important unless you want to use either or both, otherwise her flight does nothing Ch3 : indoors map, lol Ch4 : can fly over to get lute, however lute's village is never in danger and she lute joins late enough she's not doing much, so it's just waste of turns, Nvm how you can just bust the snag and go there with someone else, Vanessa getting there faster means nothing when Lute isn't that useful and her village is never in danger Ch5 : can fly over walls but this doesn't matter because enemies will murder her and you can simply just go thru the middle area, which is what you're doing anyway, so it's pointless, also can be used for an LTC strat, but LTC doesn't count for obvious reasons, otherwise her flight again does nothing Ch6 : can fly over the mountains to rescue the villagers, but the spider comes late enough your Seth should have killed everything and reached there quick enough, and your reward is an orion's bolt, lol, so yeah her flight isn't important Ch7 : can fly over the sea but this only Matters as an LTC strat, otherwise you would just play the map normally Ch8 : indoors map, lol So yeah, her flight never REALLY matters and you never REALLY need it for anything unless you're doing an LTC, she's a good unit but definitely not the S tier people think she is lmao, just C+ or B- i guess Also : her having availability over Tana doesn't matter when she herself is barely useful as i explained

Hi, I do not know why but I have always tend to use and like better tana the one with Blue hair. But the fire emblem community and even the people that do not play it 😀😀😀Say Vanessa is the best and the one to use. its like sacrilegious to say I dont use her
