Great video which conveys something of what must once have been a beautiful cross-country route. Surprisingly clear of vegetation in the cuttings and not waterlogged by the looks of things. I suppose agricultural/shooting interests probably stand in the way of converting this into what could be a wonderful long-distance cycleway/footpath.

Hi, Malcolm. Yes, I’m now entering the realm of big estate pheasant shoots and attendant ‘private property’ notices. Part 3 will be near Salperton, another private estate, so I’ve got to be careful. The ‘jewel in the crown’ will be Hampen Hill cutting, which I believe is the deepest one of the three and a SSSI. I’ll need to get in there before the trees come into leaf again. Have A Great Christmas. Ron🎄🙂

Splendid adventure Ron, nice mix of audio and visuals together with your extensive knowledge and reminiscing of times past. It always makes me smile looking at the accommodation bridges. The land owners seem to take them over as their own until maintenance is required then they seem to lose interest. Keep them coming. Ron

Hi Ron, thanks for the update ..... hope you managed to fix the hole in the roof ❄️❄️🌨️🌨️😂😂 You really were on home territory here, amazing change from high embankment to deep cutting. At least the track bed was clear, no need for your machete this time. That wasn't very "pheasant" of them to not let you down onto the track bed to see the last bridge!! Have a great Christmas. All the best!!

Thank you, James. A new video upload this week, featuring the bridge that you remember, between Andoversford and Bourton on the Water. Best wishes, Ron.
