To those confused: So young wanted the recommendation for herself, and, ultimately, for Nam Hee. Her betrayal was agreeing with Nam Hee's ex for the baby's abortion. She doesn't want Nam Hee's future to be sabotaged by the baby because she knows they're not ready. Nam Hee understands this that's why she forgave So Young and is cheering her on to live successfully for the both of them even if she's already dead.

I don't think she really wanted Nam-Hee to get an abortion, I mean she's the one who got the baby booties, and was the one talking about their future with getting part time jobs and taking care of it together... She only went along with the plan to convince her to get an abortion because she was greedy for the recommendation letter... I think Nam-Hee just forgave her because she was her friend and she loved her.

I don't understand the confusion, but perhaps part of it is because I read the description first. What happens is Nam-hee and So-young are best friends, but Nam-hee is more academically apt. After Nam gets pregnant, she tells So-young, who proceeds to support her completely. They both are against the boyfriend, Jae-young, while he himself wants no part of the baby and also seems to have educational, or other goals in life, which he thinks the baby will get in the way of. Things get messed up after the principal's recommendation letter comes into play. As, of the three of them, only one will get the letter, of course they will all try their best at it. So-young is fearful that Nam-hee will get the letter and move on in life, and she is jealous of how smart she is. Jae-young might want that application, but he also wants that baby gone, so he bribes So-young, using her jealousy and fear against her, and kills two birds with one stone. However, his plans backfire when So-young honestly can't find Nam-hee, his frustration and her provoking him ends up with his death. Nam-hee has, all the while, been dead after she first tried to call So-young from the stock room. She died because the two girls beat her(after she was trying to protect So-young), by way of bleeding to death. Nam-hee, as a ghost, plays around and finally ends up "luring" So-young to the stock room where she died. So-young is quickly forgiven after her heartfelt apology, and Nam-hee supports her on her way to college.

This is not lesbianism but best friendship. I had something like this from 11 y to 16 and teachers suspected us to be lesbians but that was not it. In the end , nam hee died from those two girls who beat her up and kicked her in the stomach where her baby was (the baby died) and nam hee bled to death. I tumbled into the diamond life no, what I understood was that Nam-hee was pregnant and her best friend met up with Nam-hee's ex (the one who got her pregnant) because he promised the best friend money if she could convince Nam-hee to get an abortion, when the other 2 girls kicked Nam-hee, she got a miscarriage, meaning the baby died which can also result in the mother dying as well. In the last scene, the best friend is seen filling up the recommendation form, and Nam-hee is hugging her, I think that means that Nam-hee is proud of her best friend, who still got to pursue her dream, even after she died. That's what I understood I guess lmao

Actually so young is a good girl. But she was desperate to enter university that's why she betrayed her best friend.. However, nam hee still loyal to so young.. eventho so young doing something that she should not do to nam hee. This is really sad movie.

To watch the movie from Korea make me think is their society realy that bad? So full of selfishness, bullying,don't care about others just blame when something's gone wrong...may be that's why there were many suicide there... . I hope I was wrong.

well, i know for a fact that the suicide rate in South Korea is high.....but idk about other things. All these kdramas make me question too...

You can't compare real life with drama But i am pretty sure bullying and suicide is pretty tough in Korean Because if you're ugly got bully And u have to choose bully or get bully XD

That was the scariest thing I had ever watch I’m getting nightmares omgggg I’m so scared literally I never should’ve watched this I watched before like 2 years ago and suddenly I remembered and wanna watched it again cuz I forgot what happened I regret it sm
