Very informative, You are easy to understand and you explained the difference between the 8r & 111B stoves very well. I inherited a collection of stoves that I know nothing about. I have tried to find information on them to sell one-Bay. Thanks for the help.

I just bought what I believe is a 111T for $25. It's never been used. One of the hinges on the box has been damaged & rusted through. It has some scattered oxidization on the brass. Never had fuel in the tank; so not sure about the pump seals yet. Just trying to find all the info I can before I tear it down & restore it. Thanks for the info.

Trail Hound yeah I saw your post on the fb page! Outstanding find! Congratulations! Obviously my favorite model camp stove! I once found an unfired 8r at a yard sale for $20. That’s probably my best ‘deal’ story. My first 111t was from a military surplus site in the mid 90’s. (One of my first ever internet purchases) they had used 111t stoves for $25 plus $4 shipping. The one I got (yes I only ordered one) was functional but very well used. Congratulations again!

Great explanation. Thanks. I just bought a 99 for $4 at goodwill. It’s old but everything is there.

Nomad Survival Forum ...funny you should mention ‘bulletproof...’ when I first got this 8r... it had a different case complete with two pass through bullet holes. It might have frustrated the previous owner.

You sure them aint bear tooth holes LOL I have never had a problem with it I even used none leaded gas with some carb cleaner for at least half its life with me and have never ever had a problem with it. I will be using it every day in aug up north for moose season unless I get something early but then I just like it in the bush maybe I can eat a hole moose in a month maybe I will dare myself LOL...

OK then maybe not real boolits proof but close at least the only problem I have heard of is if they are run dry and they burn up the wick that goes into the tank but that's easy to fix with some cotton string. I have never taken mine apart that much to really see if their is a wick going into the tank or not on mine. I just know it works every time I use it and that's good enough for me besides I am to lazy to pull out my 3 burner coleman gas stove these days. and I like the coleman too I can use naphtha/none leaded gas with carb cleaner/propane. so you can say I like options one is none 2 is one...

Wow, I never realized the 111 was bigger than the 8r.

Billofthenorth1 yeah a lot of times there’s no scale to tell how large they are in relation to each other.

For sure, I've never noticed them in the same photo before and just assumed they were the same size.
