My husband is a culinary instructor. You can refreeze turkey if it's cooked. Just make sure you heat it to 165F when you eat it.

Hi Sarra! I'm relatively new to this channel. I'm an Italian girl and I love writing. Your advice on how to edit a novel is helping me with my editing and revision process, and your video on writing sprints helps me to write other stories more quickly. When I finish, I go back and revise. I also watched your videos on how to plot a novel and downloaded some of the resources you put on your website. They are incredible! I'm currently reading your three books of The Shadow Demon Saga on Wattpad, I love them! I'm a blind girl, I write with a normal laptop which has, attached to it, a device called braille display. With this last one, I can read. It's not easy for me to find books (ebooks, for example, are nearly impossible for me to read, and paper books need to be scanned with a scanner and converted and it takes a lot of time for my dad to do so), but I will do my best to find your novels and will ask my father to convert them into Word so I can enjoy them. I would love to read all your Shadow Demon Saga novels! I love your voice, it's really sweet and calming. Listening to you helps me a little with my anxiety for a few moments, so thank you! And I love to hear your children in the background. Evie makes me smile. :)

We never have more than four adults for Christmas (which is when we cook Turkey in the UK). We slice up our Turkey and use it for sandwiches on Boxing Day and the day after and then cut up the rest into chunks and use it in curries and soup. You can defrost, cook, and then refreeze meat. It'll be good in the freezer for about three months but you can store it for longer - it just starts to lose flavour and gets a bit frost-burnt. I'm loving your Nanowrimo vlogs. You're a huge inspiration to me.

If you guys feel like it, donate either the turkey or the ham to a local food bank? They would be thrilled to have that for the holiday. But you can portion it out, since it’s cooked, and refreeze the portion. But I’d only do that once. Otherwise freezerburn happens. ❤️❤️❤️

Have you thought of having a heartbreathings channel inside your current discord server? That way, all the rooms are in one server and members can choose to interact with the reading channels, writing channels, or both.

A Discord for writers would be brilliant - I dislike the way that Facebook is just a continuous stream of everything, with no way to organise it. And I agree with Zoe - if setting up a separate Discord server is too much work, just add a couple of channels to your existing one (one for sprints, one for writer chat). Then if it gets really busy or confusing, you could consider spinning it off into a separate server later. See you in about five hours for today's sprint session!

Yep! you can heat the turkey, cut it, and put it in plastic containers/bags in the freezer and they will last for just eating or a soup. The ham is the same way and will last a while. We're still picking off a honey ham and it's just like the day we got it

I'd heat up the turkey and heat it like they say, and also don't forget to defrost it like they say, then debone it, chop it up and freeze it. Then use it for enchiladas, add to pasta sauce, in soup, on a salad etc.

I'm hoping to finish the 50,000 either this weekend or Wednesday after I get off from work. Our Thanksgiving holiday stretches out for 2 days (Thursday with my in-laws...small family, and then Friday with our kids and grandchildren...I cook everything that day.) Wishing you a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving and hope you all have a great time at Disney. BTW...Google says you can refreeze a cooked turkey if it's been thawed properly (in the refrigerator and not on the counter) within three days of thawing. This works for a fully cooked turkey you thaw or a turkey you cook yourself.

You are always an inspiration, I love these vlogs! I have been doing just terrible keeping up here with my first NaNo. We have a community group sprinting here as well. @StampinDivaUK

Yes please to the discord server! It's so much easier sprinting with Sprinto on discord. As for the turkey, are you sure they didn't send you someone else's order by mistake? Did you get hold of the company and ask them? Cause I think with such a huge mistake that someone else maybe got yours and you got theirs!

I wouldn't thaw and refreeze. It's not dangerous, but it increases the chance of freezer burn which is just nasty. If you do decide to do that I wouldn't just slice it up. Make it into other dishes like Turkey chili, turkey tetrazzini, or the like. Those will hold up in the freezer for 4-6 months, but I really wouldn't go past 3 since your turkey has probably been cooked and frozen for a few months already.. Also, check with the company to see if you got someone else's order. I know it seems weird to do that, but the orders may have gotten mixed up. I haven't written in a couple of days, it's my and my husband's 8 year anniversary on Tuesday and we have been celebrating the last couple of days. Hoping to do some tomorrow. I'm a little ahead so I'm good at the moment.
