Alex was only on the desk two weeks and made that trade? Amazing! Love the setup. Easy to see variables: bearish market, meme stock with weak fundamentals, gap up a certain percentage on news. High percentage play that the price was going to do down. Mike, I like what you said about if you recognize a pattern, select the right stock in right direction, then you don't need to trade it that well. That is definitely where I am in my trading experience. I need every edge I can get 😀

Great video. Thorough analysis of a trade setup that is currently working. Great interaction between the lead trader and the newer trader. After this video, I will be watching these +5% gappers for a potential opening fail. I probably won't take the first move down, but I'll look to take a small put option if vwap fails also.

I trade gap ups & downs in a very similar way so it was cool to see his perspective! I have found this to be effective when spy qqq iwm are all gapping and playing the 1min opening range break. Offers great rr and potential to leave some running the whole day.

There’s so much dignity and respect to be an independent woman.I spent my 20s working and investing. Now I’m 31 and I have about 10 streams of income . Supporting my husband and kids and buying anything I want without asking anyone for moneys. Not gives greater joy than that. lots of women need to get to work no matter your husband’s or partner’s financial status

Great review! Love the pattern and thesis on this. I agree, 4.55 atr on the 1 min breakdown is a pretty wide stop and not too optimal. Looking at this chart I see that first pull-in into VWAP and failure as the best R/R entry. Really nice work! Btw Bella, I would love to see some examples of the “Roll Over” pattern. Maybe what exactly you guys at SMB look for in the beginning of the “Roll Over” phase. Perhaps the first wide red 5min candle at the top of the trend, a cross of the 9ema/20ema, climatic volume etc. 👌🏽💯

@SMB Capital Mike, what did you say ? 07:45 Trading psychology isn't as detrimental to newer traders? Can you explain more this is the first time I heard anybody point out that distinction.
@cjcjesse2 жыл бұрын
Point is that newer traders tend to lack edge which is more detrimental than psychology at early stages. Without an edge you'll never truly succeed as a trader. When you have a real edge and a refined process to expose yourself to that edge and trade manage it well, then psychology plays a larger role in terms of discipline over the long run.
@tr.j40792 жыл бұрын
Also these days retail traders tend to overleverage, which means even if you have edge you may still blow up your trading account due to poor risk management.
@mbellafiore192 жыл бұрын
Developing traders need to focus on developing edge first. If you don't have edge trading should be frustrating. We don't spend a lot of time talking about psychogy at the start. It does matter. But it is connected to traders finding their edge.
@oceanblue23862 жыл бұрын
@@mbellafiore19 thank you for clarifying that that certainly makes sense. I would have to add though from my experience even from the beginning I was struggling to follow my process. I had my trade plan outlined the night before I woke up and focused on it the morning of and damn if I didn't follow my rules. Then I sat there minutes afterwards thinking why did I just do that. And I would do it the next day rinse and repeat and just can't understand if I want to do something so badly then why don't I. That is a mental thing, and it would confound me thinking about it the rest of the day. Psychological help would be needed to understand how I could possibly do that day after day after focusing so much on doing it according to plan instead. As I've always said "the mind is a terrible thing to trade with." 🤣
