I love how deliciously 90s this is. Random stranger is a master martial artist that gets into street fights for money and ends up fighting in front of a bunch of rich assholes. It really could be called Lionheart 2.
@Zurround11 ай бұрын
1. It was filmed in 2009 so its a decade too late to be a 90s movie. 2 What you said is true but this movie had a crime fighting element to it with his need to take down "James" but Lionheart was ONLY the fighting and it was desperation to raise money to help his dead brothers widow. Hell, even him being murdered was just a plot device to force the financial desperation as the murderers got caught. Lionheart did not have as sophisticated a plot since it was ONLY about the fighting (and evading those 2 agents trying to capture him) and NOT about taking down a major crime syndicate.

That’s Bob Wall that threw the sword to Michael Jai White. He was “O’Hara” in Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee in 1973!
@Zurround11 ай бұрын
How is this for a dream fight? Not the actors but the characters portrayed and I know its different eras and people age but BRUCE LEE from ENTER THE DRAGON vs. ISAAH BONE, both in their respective primes? Here is a SCARY thought. Mike Jai White was 42 years old (middle age) when this movie was filmed and I know he aged well and looked younger but my rule of thumb is that if a character's age is not told or made obvious by the story then I default to the age of the ACTOR upon filming so until I hear otherwise I will assume that Isaah Bone was 42 years old when he fought Price. Not to sound ageist or anything but that is past prime and to boot he was in prison for 5 years without access to the best training equipment or healthiest food. So what we were seeing in this movie was a HAS BEEN MIDDLE AGED PAST HIS PRIME Bone. The scary thing is imagine what he could do IN HIS PRIME. Prime Bone vs Prime main character from Enter the Dragon would be an off the charts sick fight. Note that even if Bruce ultimately does win its NOT the almost effortless without getting hurt at all victory he had against "Ohara" and I say that everyone else in that movie would lose to Prime bone even "Iron Hand".

I had wanted an even more dangerous fighter than Price who absolutely rivals Bone in powers and fighting ability and toughness to push him to his limits, and being how superhuman Bone is such an opponent would be SCARY. I also wanted "Pretty Boy" Price to have his own spinoff as a HERO and PROTAGONIST much as how Uri Boyka went from villain to hero in his sequel.
