Second would be i'd love to see how he has the system wired because if all speakers are being ran off one amp, the ohms rating can cause it to overheat and catch fire. if there is no protection on it.

Haha.. well, nothing a few rubbers can't fix. And a + is that you're probably in the car when the amp catches fire.. slowly brake, take out the mini fire extinguisher, aim at amp area, remove burned out amp, order new one on amazon for a few bucks, install new one.. you're good to go :P

I had a 1991 sentra e, got 575,000+ miles out of it on mostly original parts, in 5 years I put 3 axles, 1 clutch, 1 water pump, 1 alternator, 1 set of rear shoes, 1 set of calipers and rotors on the front, many speedometer cables, many speedometers, and around 4 clutch cables. street raced it, off-roaded it, hauled scrap metal, camping gear and firewood. it got 47mpg on Sunoco ultra93(25mpg on 87 octane). never lost a race to any Honda, even against a civic hatch with $10,000 in the engine alone(my sentra had 350,000+ miles, mostly stock with a straight pipe in place of the muffler and aluminum 14"(195/60/14 Cooper weather master snow tires all year round) American Racing wheels. got regular oil changes(every 3 weeks, I was putting 1000miles a week on it as a daily driver). even drove it through a flowing river that came up past the side trim half way up the doors, only broke the exhaust downpipe off the manifold($50 part) but didn't get stuck.

Rob, nothing unusual. When I was in college, two frat guys had shitboxes like this. One was a 2 dr Mazda with a rear trunklid that was such pathetic quality that it wobbled like paper! He of course, had the entire trunk lined with speakers so he could prop up the trunklid and have it "bounce" the sound out the rear! And it could *barely* start. He'd just crank the ignition and kick, stomp and curse until the engine wheezed to life!

Looks like my 90 Corolla! I only have a 4 speaker sound system and 220 thousand miles on it. To be fair I put 50 thousand of those miles on. Nevermind not dying thing never even gets sick. I replaced the timing belt at 205 thousand even though it wasn't broken and it was in good shape. The AC even works. I love that car.
