What I observed is that most of the psychologist right now in the west are leaning to Psychodynamic theories and not the other school of thoughts (Humanistic, Behavioral, Cognitive) to which I found amazing. Psychodynamic theory is really big in terms of understanding human nature. It explains alot of phenomena of the psyche that only them could explain. Thanks for your amazing video, anyways!

Thank you for your comment! It is very interesting I was under the impression that psychodynamic theory was more on the margins. But it great to know that this isn't the case. Thanks again and have a great day/night.

This was great, have read the paper numerous times before as i really like Celanis work. but this helped me to understand it even better. Not many people using Fairbairn's theories, i really think he was onto something. I have Celanis book, The Illusion of Love, and its extremely good book. Have you read the Allure of The Bad Object? Thats a really good paper for understanding Fairbairn.

It was you that recommended this paper to me so I should be thank you for this. It is very true that rare are the clinicians who use Fairbairn models unfortunately. Also, I have read the illusion of Love and I fully agree even if ends on more sombre note I will review it before the year's end. I have thought of reading the Allure of the bad object I guess I will add it to my never ending list of things to read 😅. Thanks again and have great day/night.

Can you do something on personality types in terms of psychodynamic theory?
@talkingpsychology3 ай бұрын
Hi yes absolutely but what would you want me to talk about precisely: Would it be on the different personnality types? How personalities develop according to psychoanalysis? What is the difference between 'healthy ' personality and personality disorder? ( and potentially many more...) Anyway thank you for your engagement and have a great day!

Do one about how the definition of “personality disorder” has changed over time, for example, how alcoholism used to be considered a personality disorder, etc.
