Thank you for providing a link to the transcript. I found this a fascinating subject, and am curious about a few things. Is it possible that psychopaths suffer from some form of incurable birth defect, so to speak, though not visible? Or, is there any difference between a psychopath's brain and that of a 'normal' person'? As to cures; can a psychopath be taught, through some sort of mental manipulation, that giving value to others' interests, could be of value to their own interests? Are narcissists psychopaths, or are the two distinctly different maladies, depending on severity? Finally, I wonder the difference between 'sociopath' and 'psychopath'. Anyway - thank you again, both for posting the video and the link. :)

@@Flojo9229 that’s because most who are don’t ever find out they are. That’s just the truth. They just keep what they have done in secret until they pass away. They might camouflage in the world by using their profession which makes them a lot of money and money gives them power. Then they could travel to third worlds and do things there that is easier to get away with then if you were in a developed world. I would’ve never found out if 1. My parents didn’t take me with a relative who was a psychiatrist over my violent behavior at such a young age. 2. An ex who told me I was creepy because she would be emotional and I’d give her an empty stare or we’d fight and she could never get a reaction out of me that showed “I cared”. She realized everytime we’d fight I wouldn’t ever burst but somehow just somehow she knew I was hurting her psychologically by finding ways to psychologically punish her. Then when I went into the military and did a tour in Iraq. A family in a car was coming towards our checkpoint we yelled stop multiple times and to turn around. They don’t understand English so why would they? Everyone hesitated to take a shot. I didn’t. I lit up the car and everyone followed. Car was a white washed colored vehicle but after we lit it up the blood painted the entire inside and outside bumper red. All my friends in my unit felt guilt, had suicidal thoughts, tried speaking to the higher ups about doing something else for a while and they were told they were useless and weak and to go back out there. I was praised for my willingness to not be affected by the matter. I never had remorse, regret, or guilt. The family had 2 kids in the back the husband and the wife and the wife was pregnant around 6 months. No one came for them we just had to throw their bodies in a truck and the truck handles the bodies. Anyways then I come home and my very first social gathering is my nephews bday party in which my sister is pregnant around 7 months full baby bump. I go in to give her a hug and close my eyes. Suddenly an image of a bloody fetus crying with mutilated body parts pops into my head. I step back look at my sister and then her baby bump then she asks if I’m okay. I smile rub her baby bump and kiss her on the head and re assure her she’ll always be okay. I realize that my mind is playing tricks on me aligning my sisters pregnancy to what I have done but reality is the parents chose their fate for not understanding English. Wrong place wrong time and they should’ve known better.

Why do you feel so driven towards control when it is so obvious how out of control we are? How much worse it would be if we thought like you? Your mindset would be the death of you, there are always bigger fish, you have no hope to survive alone, you need genuine connection to survive, you live off the good nature of others, and in a world that thought like you, you would simply be inferior to a smarter psychopath, destruction and ruin in total, the breakdown of trust, a dog eat dog world, I don't think you understand how bad things could turn out for you down this path, do you understand how lucky you are to live in a world of honour and integrity, and how much worse a world full of human predators would be? We wouldn't even survive as a species, we'd wipe eachother out so quick it would make your head spin 😜

Im a diagnosed sociopath (aspd) and when it comes to psychopaths and narcissists running into them has always created interesting situations, because i can always tell what they are and i like to play with my cards out so I always call them out on their behavior and take enjoyment in their attempts to mask and deny what’s plainly obvious to me, some have dropped their masks entirely when they realized that i know, and surely enough they have always avoided me after, my best advice is if u have a bad feeling about someone, don’t ignore it and do not feel pressured to be nice or comforting towards them, their only goal is to gain smth out of you so you have no reason to be good or polite to them

May I ask how being diagnosed as a sociopath has affected your life? I find I’ve been struggling with maturing and considering I was affected by a psychopath or two growing up I’m kind of worried as to why I feel so out of place around “normal” people. I apologize if that’s too invasive, I just noticed you seemed somewhat comfortable or open about it so I was curious.

I do relate with feeling out of place with neurotypical people, and my choice of friends and partners really reflects that, and honestly its not a negative thing, its just unconventional so u have to learn how to keep a healthy relationship with them and sometimes that can look very different from a normal one, which isnt bad just different, as a neurodivergent you will always struggle around neurotypicals and always having the worry of fitting in gets exhausting, id say be yourself and eventually you will find people who will like u for who u r

Thing is that’s not just a psychopath thing. I’m like that sometimes and I’m not a psychopath. I’m autistic and most autistic people struggle looking in the eyes but I don’t usually and sometimes I do sear people in the eyes quite deeply, not because I want to use them but sometimes I do just stare at things (not just people) intensely, sometimes it’s just that I have to concentrate quite a lot when I talk and hold my eyes slightly differently or sometimes it might be I’m quite concentrated on what they say because I’m prone to drifting off so to avoid that sometimes I concentrate hard which causes that to happen, sometimes it might be me thinking I recognise someone (I think that falsely quite a lot) and sometimes I might just be staring into space and it happens that whilst I do that I’m staring at your eyes. It’s not just psychopaths that are like that and don’t assume people are psychopaths just because they do that. That eye thing is something I do too but I’m not a psychopath and I don’t do it for the reasons this video said.

Well it’s a personality disorder, and usually it takes a lot to convince them they have it and a lot more to convince them it’s a problem. But what is the matter anyway? I mean, who doesn’t think empathy is a lie? Like who could ever just feel emotions with no good reason? And who the fuck even feels remorse? We just act like it cause we have to. I am an “empath” just like you, you know? What the does that even mean? Nothing. Fucking nothing. Empathy isn’t real and we all play into it for the lie it is. Btw, I did that to just simulate it a bit. I like theatrics. Bite me!

I've heard it said that trauma from interacting with a psychopath is more difficult to overcome than any other trauma. It will destroy your ability to feel connected with other humans, and will also disconnect you from yourself, Stay away from people who lie, and stay way from people who actively try and convince you of why you shouldn't listen to yourself.

@Superblingjas
@Superblingjas 6 ай бұрын
@@bellavia5 Everything in this video describes his behavior. I have attended therapy sessions and while my therapist has explained that she cannot diagnose him, but she does believe that he has shown behaviors / traits of a psychopath. My father tends to prey on single mothers for “lovers” and they have all left traumatized but he will never admit to anything he did (harmful actions) even if there was multiple witnesses. I say prey only because it became increasingly obvious that he enjoyed being in control of multiple people. He would isolate them from family and friends. He would also try to have them become financially dependent on him. He would love bomb and then become a totally different person once he had control. He has also never had a healthy relationship with family, friends or lovers. It always ended messy. It is consistent that family, ex friends and ex lovers have said that he is either evil, manipulative, narcissistic, etc. He will deny any legal charges/ consequences he has received and fabricated stories to try to make it seem as though everyone is out to get him and lies about him. He used to tell me that when I was 8 years old, my mother physically abused me which never happened. It was actually him who did it, but he will become violently angry towards anyone who denies that story. He has fabricated many stories just as extravagant as the one I just mentioned, towards myself and my family, as well as his ex lovers. His mother has always “believed” his lies even if she knows that he is lying “because she doesn’t want to lose him or risk him becoming angry at her.” He can often become violent especially in public spaces. He has had a g u n pulled on him and he told them to pull the trigger without any hesitation. In this situation, the person genuinely feared for their own safety as my father was angry at them for crossing the street (not even near him or anyone they had time and space.) Besides preying on single mothers, he seems to have some acquaintances but is never really close with anyone. He tends to be a bit anti social unless he has something to gain from someone. I have never in my life seen him show any remorse for his actions. His most common saying when being called out for his actions is “that’s not me I come from a cop family” or “I don’t do that I have served this country in the National Guard.” Although he was never deployed due to being color blind and has obviously been discharged. Aside from his violence, having a conversation with him felt very uncomfortable. He never really would look anyone in the eyes but when he did, there was absolutely no emotion there. My therapist refers to it as “dead eyes.” He could be spitting from yelling but no emotion. He could be talking about being so sad but still there wouldn’t be any emotion in his eyes. He could be laughing and STILL no emotion. Most of the time he wouldn’t actually respond to what I would say. I could say “the roses are red” and he would reply with “tulips bloom around spring time.” The response would be kind of close to what the subject was but never actually a reply to what was specifically said if that makes sense. Otherwise there were times where he wouldn’t even reply to what was said, he would just start a whole new conversation. I remember talking about the classes I was taking in high-school and he started talking about how he thought his ex girlfriend was stalking him. She wasn’t. While I was used to that, it was so frustrating just because I never felt much of a connection with him despite trying and his claims that he was also trying. I could go on and on about him and am happy to answer any more questions, but I have no doubt in my mind of what he is. I understand there is quite a bit of misuse of “psychopath” as some only know it as an insult. But Im not just throwing the word around in ignorance. When I first started therapy, I thought he had only been narcissistic but after speaking with a professional, I understand better.

@@anananananananananananananana I understand many people misuse the word and diagnoses of psychopathy but I’m dead serious about him being a psychopath. As I’ve talked with a therapist for many years. While they cannot diagnose him, they have confirmed that his behavior / traits does match the criteria. I’m not throwing the word around in ignorance. He is very much enabled by his mother unfortunately so I believe things could have been different if she wasn’t in denial.

During this time he lost everything on gambling, bet sports, rollete etc etc etc. Just when I reach 27 years and recognise my strenght I was able to leave this crime situation, with a huge trauma to dealing. I learned this the hard way. A year and a half into a relationship, that I thought was great. I learned this person was not who I thought they were, and they were lying about everything. That's the part which I find most scary about these types of personality...? 😕 As humans we rely so heavily on intuition & "vibe checks" to keep us safe and well in daily life & relationships, and people in this category just won't always set off any alarms because they're so good at masking? It's usually only over considerable time that red flags accumulate, or the mask slips, and by that stage people they've targeted may already be heavily entangled or even endangered.

You feel no empathy for it, you don't worry if it's okay, you don't even fully recall if you even did toss it. A psychopath is the same to their victims. A sociopath on the other hand will keep that wrapper near just to make sure he knows he threw it and enjoys the feeling of treating it like the nothing it is

I dealt with psychopaths for decades in the prison/jail system, they are an interesting group. Their psychopathy runs along a continuum from street hustles to someone void of empathic feelings. Some were nice men/women, other were obnoxious, demanding, entitled and aggressive. It always amazed me at how entitled they were, always demanding certain things as if everyone has to stop what they were doing and cater to the client's needs/wants. They could quickly become angry when they did not get what they beloved they were entitled to. One guy demanded that the jail make him a birthday cake and when that did not happen he filed grievances after grievance. He became enraged that his demand was not met.

When my ex's mask completely shattered at my feet, I froze. My brain just couldn't comprehend what I was seeing. It's unthinkable to a regular person... Meanwhile my best friend, my lover, my darling, etc, just disappeared into thin air. Poof. Gone. All I had left was facing the demon who laughed manically/joyfully in my face. Best I can describe, it is like chucky the doll, but finding out chucky is real. Also, a lot of psychopaths and non psychopaths say Hannibal lector isn't an accurate depiction of a psychopath. Oh boy, yes he is. You want to know what a psychopath is like? Just watch Hannibal lector scenes from "the silence of the lamb" and "red dragon". THAT is a psychopath. Also, the new live action "the little mermaid", Ursula is also a psychopath/sociopath and a good example.

Sometimes I wonder if my mother was a psychopath, sociopath, or just a narcissist with an alcohol problem. All I know is I have intense mental trauma from being raised by her. I believe having emotions around someone like that can either cause you to lose them, or for them to become ultra sensitive. Im lucky I think that mine were just intensified or I would not have been able to heal as much as I have. (Through therapy) I’ve always given too much of myself to others because I was forced to give her all of my attention to feel guarded. It’s gotten me hurt many many times but it’s also given me the skill of truly loving someone unconditionally. And knowing I’ll never be like her is a comfort. Although I’m so so afraid to ever have children.

I'm happy to hear that you're doing well now. Do not worry, as just the fact that you're aware of this, your acknowledgement and your efforts to improve yourself already make you a better person and potentially a better mother than many people. Usually, the people who should be having children, those who are capable of genuinely loving, are the ones who feel most nervous when it comes to having children, so don't be too hard on yourself.

A lot of this can be twisted and distorted in a way to apply to anyone. Other disorders, such as autism and adhd can share similar symptoms. Psychopathy is simply not something you can diagnose in someone without medical examination. A lot of the comments are saying how theyve had a bad encounter with a psychopath when there could be millions of reason that go into someone's actions and decisions (miscommunication, different beliefs, past experience, etc.) Psychopathy is not just a word you use on someone who you feel mistreated you. Its a genuine mental disorder that's a lot more complex than "oh this guy had dead eyes! He must be a psychopath."

He was exactly like what you said, dead, cold eyes, obsessed with power, have an inflated sense of ego, doesn't empathize or understand very normal human emotions. When meeting someone new, go slow and take your time. That's how to spot a psychopath. After you encounter 1 or 2 psychopaths/sociopaths, they are easier to spot. A good rule of thumb: -Charm, very charming (compliments often) -seems very likeable/friendly...at first. :) But slowly over time, their bff Tom has left and is never heard from again cause he moved far far away. Weird, huh? (they burn bridges over time, over and over again. People flee them.) -most have a revolving door of people (see comment above) -anger -mischievous intentions (They get caught stealing from work, their neighbor's cat suddenly goes missing, they brag about how they "borrowed" their friend's car for the day, but the friend didn't know) -"humble" bragging (listen closely and they will brag about their bad deeds. My psychopath ex bragged she popped her ex's (before me) car tires and laughed when the ex had to get them replaced which cost a thousand $$$$. I didn't laugh when I was told this. Another psychopath I knew bragged happily about how they got rid of the gophers in their backyard. (pesticide) Take it slow, listen. They tell on themselves.

Edit: Don't take this comment seriously. I actually have no idea if someone is a psychopath or not. And the individual who I talk about in this comment, I actually don't believe to be psychopath. They were just very troubled with shame and guilt like most people are in milder ways. And whenever we are burdened with very deep guilt or shame, we seem to manufacture lots of things like drama to cover up, and deal with, and distract us from that guilt and shame. In fact, I think a psychopath probably wouldn't at all be burdened with shame or guilt. The guy I'm talk about had some good traits, which he tried to use to feel like a good person. And he lived in isolation, so it wasn't like he was going door to door to bother people with his craziness. I was just ranting in anger because I hadn't yet accepted some things that happened during my time living near him, which wasn't all his fault. Original comment: I've met psychopaths for sure. I lived next to one. He even had this thing where he'd stare at you... like a psychopath, as you approached to unnerve you. Was highly intelligent. A pathological liar. Extremely charismatic, extroverted, huge hand and arm movements when talking. Did everything he possibly could, even up to spending money, to control everyone or have them removed as far away from him as possible. If he's mouth was moving, he was trying to fuck you in some way or the other, even if to just covertly destabilize you with a subliminal suggestion, which he was a true master of. Paranoid as hell that everyone else was also like him and had to be watched, subdued and kept on a leash. Had an unmatched talent in the ability to press a persons buttons, or to strategise and manipulate effortlessly and turn people against one another and drive everyone crazy. And If your mouth was moving, if you said one sentence, he would use it in some way against you, so at a certain point I just never opened my mouth in front of him. And if he couldn't absolutely control you in every way, even up to how you live privately in your own life, you instantly became his enemy. He would fly off the handle and scream at the top of his lungs with rage like hitler for any small thing. He was a person that tried and almost succeeded to break me mentally, and others too. And inspite of all of that intelligence, and charisma and fearlessness and ability, he had no real friends and live alone and everyone hated him because he just couldn't resist the temptation to hurt everyone he ever met in some way shape or form and that was his biggest weakness, he just couldn't control his hatred

I met a person that I worried might be one once. I’m not a mental health professional, and even if I were, I never would have had the chance to evaluate him. So of course I cannot say. But there were signs that he was a toxic manipulator, so I dipped. I don’t care how he might have been classified. I just knew that, whatever his classification, I didn’t want anything to do with it. He was quite friendly to me, and at first, I enjoyed his company. This was not a romantic candidate, we were both partnered, but we developed an intellectual friendship. But then i noticed how he treated other people. I have no idea what was wrong with him, but it was quite scary. So I just casually put distance between us. Oddly, he was fine with that. I don’t think he saw me as a valuable resource outside of joking around and talking about work. I was a pal. Neither a threat nor a target.

Since psychopaths are attracted to positions of "authority", do not discount the fact that counselors, research psychologists and professors will tell a person they are not being coherent if they feel they are losing control of the conversation or power dynamic. Remember always that you have the right to answer a question in any way you see fit. One interrogative method may involve a "designated" interviewer being purposely obtuse or disinterested in subjects where they are uninformed/less educated. Thiey might do this in an attempt to maintain or regain a perceived upper hand in your interrogation/conversation . In summary, never discount the fact that a clinical mental health "professional" might have several DSM-5 diagnosis themselves with psychopathy being among them. Don't get shaken, just hold your ground and ask for another provider when needed.👍

But, over the years it has become a hell on earth, as dominance is his only objective and harming is his methodology. I'm now in court trying to get a permanent protection order, but even after a Magistrate ordered our boundary wall to be raised to 3 metres high to protect me not from criminals but from my neighbour, he has subsequently placed flood lights over the top of it and shining into my windows. @@kschoolcraftTo say something is wrong with you if you don’t see the wolves in sheeps clothing is extremely unempathic. You do understand that these wolves prey on the inexperienced, the lonely and naive, right? They offer them friendship and excitement, and being naive they fall for it. Most people I dare say that are here have only learned how to ID a sociopath/ psychopath or malignant narcissist because they were burned. Quite frankly very few people out there know much of anything about Cluster-B personality disorders. Psychopaths generally target the socially isolated, lonely and vulnerable and do it in secret while fooling the people they need to keep on side to such an extent that they’d never believe that “such a fantastic guy” could be a monster. I guarantee that more people are fooled by psychopaths every day than not. They hide in plain sight.

The mother of my son, unfortunately I’m convinced is a psychopath. She exhibits all of these traits, and I can say for sure. The eyes of a psychopath is a REAL thing. Before I even listened to this documentary. I used to describe this to my own mother at times. In moments of pure chaos and distress that I’m experiencing because of her actions, she would say “don’t blame it on me” and start humming. Whenever her actions causes other people great emotional distress and I would confront her. I would never forget that… idk how to describe it man. It’s like starring at a blank slate of nothingness. Like you’re starting into an emotionless Void. Empty, Cold, it’s like.. yeah. It reminds me of the “Uncanny Valley Effect” where something that looks humane and should be, just.. isn’t. It’s like literally the eyes of something sentient, that looks and mimics human nature to the bone except what makes humans, humans which is emotion and empathy. It’s like starring into a two window panes with no lights on inside. My biggest advice to anyone who’s currently in a relationship that exhibits these behaviors, GET OUT. There is no rehabilitation for Psychopaths because they don’t and won’t admit they have a fault to begin with. Get out before you have a child, I wish I did. I’m separated now and I’m co-parenting but. Once you’re tangled up with them AND you have a child and unfortunate to be a father that actually cares about their child. Psychopaths would use anybody as a pawn if it meant controlling the board even their own blood and kin. Be strong kind people, don’t let the ugliness of a psychopath destroy your true self.

Ten years and three children later I escaped with my children. My son, the youngest vest at age two I believed I was saving him and his sisters from the misery of a monster. But my son carried the genetic seeds of a condition where his amygdala and parts of his brain experienced no fear, no empathy and had the same damn neurology as his father. My son is now 27, in a relationship, abusing his unsuspecting partner. The legacy rolls on.

Maybe we are but also psychopaths are very good at conveying that they are in complete control and that nothing is going wrong. They're good at this and good at hiding loses because, amongst other things, they have to believe they are in complete control given that the charade is all that they are. Self reflection into the black void where the soul should be is something a psychopath will avoid at any cost and possibly they are incapable of self reflection. Really, their delusions are all they have. When their delusional worldview is challenged by reality, they will over compensate by flaring and flaunting their ego, which in turn causes a bigger gap to form between their delusions and reality as they overplay their hand harder and harder to try bring reality back in line with their delusions. Of course this raises more suspicion. This downward spiral of hubris will ultimately be their downfall if they do not keep their ego in check. This is quite the tall order for a psychopath.

My stepfather truly resonates with this video. When he enters a room, the air freezes and gets cold. People have to make sure he is taken care of because of how scared they are. I had to leave my home and am still suffering from trauma. My younger sister used to have uncontrolled panic attacks due to the way he diminished her and took away her wants and beliefs. In the end, she ended up numb and with a very shallow personality. I've felt guilty for a long time for not being able to handle him, but I guess I was too young and pure-hearted to see what he really was all about. The worst part about it, is that you can't tell or explain to anyone, since from the outside he seems a super chilled and charismatic person. I still don't know how to help my sister. however now that she comes of age she will be able to leave home. However, it won't be an easy task, since he wants her and my mother all to himself. Curious thing in the video, my mom also says he was the most charming/charismatic person she ever met when she knew him. Just proving that no matter how badly he treats others or herself, she will always be there for him.

The most psychopathic person I came across was my neighbor as a young teenager (I was 13). We had just moved to a new house and while home I saw a man go into our yard and start throwing trash in it. He then went inside his home. He was our neighbor. Being young, I decided the best course of action was to take the trash he threw in our yard and throw it into his. He came out and confronted me asking me what I was doing. I told him I saw him in our yard which he had no right to be in and that he threw his trash in our yard and that I was simply returning it. He was furious and then started accusing me of breaking his fence (the fence was leaning towards his yard due to rosebushes that the previous owner had and didn’t trim do to her being very elderly). He ended up calling the cops. When the cop came (a young woman) he came out with a cane. A CANE. He was not handicapped. I had seen him walking just fine. He played the role of an old handicapped man (he was in his mid 60’s, hardly old). He then started accusing me of trashing his property and destroying his fence. I was livid. I had never had such an experience before. A grown adult clearly lying in front of a cop just so I and my family could get in trouble and maybe use that to pay for his fence because he was in the processes of putting the place up for sale and I’m assuming didn’t want to pay for a new fence. He told the officer I was yelling at him and that I was lying since he could barely walk let alone pick up and throw trash. It was my word against his. My mom was also present and obviously took my side since I was/am not a bad kid. However, she has a thick accent and the cop didn’t take her seriously. I will never forget that. I was made to be the villain by this utter scumbag who walked out with a freaking cane to get on the cop’s good side. I was too naïve to even believe such people existed. When my dad returned home from work he was furious. He went to the town and complained. He also spoke with our other neighbor who was a lovely older woman. She told my father that the guy is the worst person she’s ever met and that she’s fairly confident that he had actually build the fence on our property because the lady that lived in our house prior had spoken to her about it before. Turns out she was right, the fence was build on our property. He build it 3-4ft over the property line so he could have a larger yard. Thankfully he sold the property weeks after we had moved in so that was my only interaction with that psycho.

At the emotional and divine core of the healthy person is the human soul that grows and matures over the years and only in the teen is there enough growth for the next stage of cognitive and emotional growth. That next stage includes empathy which is the foundation of normal adult human conscience. When a narcissist is the parent the child does not get the emotional nurturing that makes hat possible plus the narcissistic mother chooses a Golden Boy who CAN DO NO WRONG. That one will very likely turn out to be the sociopath.

And its layers upon layers of deceit and manipulation. They will go to extremes that are inscrutable, and will have everyone convinced that it is YOU who is “psychiatrically” ill. You have to live on the wrong end of it for years (born into it) to truly understand it. All the education in the world, still won’t make someone an “expert”. Only on paper they are an expert.

Had a great reputation as a big personality who got shit done in the community. But behind closed doors he tormented us all with free reign and impunity for over a decade despite endless, consistent complaints to HR and Management that he was a horrible and toxic leader. There was a turnover of 5 team members alone (we're a small organization) on his last year. Finally he fucked with the wrong person...it took an incident with a female employee who had only been with us for two months to finally get him fired. They walked him out six months ago and it was one of the best days of my life. I was told after he had 10 open HR complaints against him. The serious question is why do businesses and organizations protect these psychos for so long? At the expense of everyone else's mental health. Just awful. He would act that way, act interested in my life, hobbies, act like he cared. Then when he would have enough info he would turn into different person and use everything he found out about me, against me. He wouldn't hesitate to embarrass both of us, as long as I feel embarrassed. He was always the happiest when he was hurting someone's feelings or embarrassing somebody. By the time we were 12 years old he was smart enough to manipulate with older people. At that age he would dress as a Adolf H. Cuz that was his idol. I remembered he was also saying that he thinks a lot how he would do things differently if he was Adolf H. and actually manage to conquer the Europe... We were 12 at that time. When he found a new victim and moved away from me, he was doing exactly the same things to her that he did to me. I was diagnosed with, amongst other things, ASPD (anti social personality disorder) and whilst everything this video described has been true I try not to lie, cheat or steal or manipulate others. I try to be more empathetic and caring for others as much as I can. I have been in times rather crass and uncaring, to the point of scaring others. I have also met few real psychopaths who feared me since I didn't fall for their usual tricks. The biggest advice I have for others that want to protect themselves against psychopaths is to, if you suspect them of it, tell them a small insignificat shame/guilt/remorse or "pain point" you have. If they use it to have an upper hand against you then they aren't your friend. A good example is you telling a potential sociopath/psychopath your "secret" and then they go around telling it to everyone. Or maybe you confide in them that you think you are gaining weight, and now they mention it at every possibility to make you feel ashamed. Also, most sociopaths/psychopaths can't feel honest happiness for someones elses achievements. A dumb psychopath might get into a pissing contest if you tell them your accomplishments. A smart one might give a "compliment" disguised as a generality statement ("oh thats good" as an example) since they can't be genuinely happy for you. I read people on "hi" and I can tell you, most of you have no chance in surviving. If you show fear you're already at their peril, they know they have you and that they can use & abuse you.

This is the truth of good police work. They can think like the criminal and that's why they're effective in dealing with them." - William Friedkin

The dominance of psychopathy in politics and business has never been more apparent than now after the last three years. We can see tht they would rather destroy all life on Earth than be deposed and that is where we are now.

In fact, the opposite is true. They are desperate to maintain the illusion of kinship with everyone else. Otherwise, they are not able to manipulate whomever is gullible to their true persona. If you dare to venture it, unmask who you know is a legitimate psychopath. They will become very dangerous. The Narcissist and the Psychopath may appear to be identical on the surface, but they are not. The Narcissist is cowardly at their core, and are highly incapable of perpetrating atrocities while maintaining composure. The Psychopath can eliminate a threat to themselves, pin it on an innocent person, and then go about their life like it never happened. A malignant Narcissist is a bit more like the Psychopath.

I have always found it hard to maintain eye contact with people when I’m talking to them….due to shyness. Sometimes when I’m talking to people I can see them spot this and stare me out while smirking and trying to control me. I find it exhausting.

The issue with psychopaths is we have a system that rewards psychopathic behaviour, so whilst the number of a actual legitimate psychopaths might be low in number we have a system where people develop psychopathic traits because they are rewarded. That said, I would say to become a billionaire for example you need to be or behave like a psychopath- and these traits are celebrated by and large by the media etc. its a mess

It's not a system. It's life that rewards psychopathic behaviour. That was always the case in every culture at any time in human history. Which is why psychopathy is still around in the first place.

My dad worked with a psycopath for a long time, that psycopath tortured my dad mentally in a very smart sneaky way, my dad then came home always very angry and use to beat me up when i was a kid, because of it, now i have a lot of trauma and also problems with remembering and learning, i work there aswell almost half of my life now i also come home always super angry, i can't blame my dad for causing me this life long trauma, i just gotta accept it that I'm always gonna be like this, when i was a kid i could handle it , but now that I'm almost 30 it's getting really rough

In my opinion it is hard to draw the line as I think many people display aspects of the qualities you mention. In general I find that modern psychology has its distinct weaknesses when it comes to true development of the human soul. There is the problem that the very categorization of oneself by means of a thought is a limitation to one's own development and with that, of the one being labeled if that one takes on this label. States of consciousness are exactly that - states of consciousness. They are not permament if one chooses to work on them or with them. And then there is the aforementioned problem that many so-called disorders overlap into each other and can actually have blurred lines with varying degrees of depth, intensity and frequency.
