I got a tattoo that is a heartbeat and it is to remember The Pulse nightclub shooting. I think there were a lot of people who got a tattoo of a heartbeat after the shooting. I live in FL and I was near the club when it got attacked. RIP

You know when your fridge stops working and you go out to shrug it off for a little bit but then bam, shooter. You somehow get out alive... but then at home, the fridge is still broken. Sometimes our adrenaline can get us through highly stressful situations, but when little things, the daily things that should not go wrong, do go wrong, on top of a stressful situation, that's just it. That's enough to push you clear over the ledge.

I was a disney college program participant at the time, and how I found out about this was hard for me. I am disabled and this hit me hard. I was working at disney springs, and was working that night until 12:30 am. I was home by 2 am and got a phone call and I asked if I can call them later. Had no clue what happened. Pulse was 20 minutes away from Walt disney world property and to me that go me shaking as soon as I walked into my break room at 5:30 am the next morning finding about all of these Angels we lost. We lost one cast member which broke my heart and I wanted to take time and give back to the police officers and first responders. I drew pictures of hope, and said thank you to those who protected us on property. That weekend was the hardest working weekend of my life, so mentally exhausting and emotionally difficult and the guests and my disney family really helped me get through. I have never seen more love at disney that week. I wasn’t in that but all of Orlando was changed that day and decided that love won and I will never forget that.

I feel for the girl that survived Pulse but why do they never cover stories of people who were shot and survived. It’s always the people without a scratch. Or the farthest from danger.

They do. Not everyone may be ready to talk about it in a public light. Those who were shot may need some more time healing, or don't want to relive the tragedy. I have seen plenty of interviews and videos of victims who were shot and survived, though. Not necessarily the Pulse shooting, but mass shootings in general.

@@pbentsonable I understand where you are coming from that to hear from those who were injured and survived are absolutely important. Just because you weren't physically injured does not mean they were not injured emotionally/mentally. Like others have pointed out a lot of victims (of any violent act) often either of PTSD, or they don't want to talk about what happened to them yet, and possibly never will (in a public setting or even privately). Talking about it/and having questions asked about it can make a victim have to relive a moment in time they are trying to forget and it can also make PTSD symptoms worse. When people go on shows and do interviews (both in person on the phone or in writing) no matter if they were physically injured, mentally damaged , or family of those who didn't make it they take whoever they can get to come and talk about what happened or how it's changed everything for them both good and or bad.

Can any of you answer these questions about this event?: - How do you have 300 people in a building whose Fire Marshall maximum occupancy rating was only for half that? - Why are high-spirited bystanders aiding 'victims' carrying them down the street all walking back TOWARDS the club? - Why were these bystanders aiding 'victims' walking between several police cars parked on the street just for a photo op of a waiting RT News crew as they passed by? - How does this building accomodate said amount of people there and it only had 11 parking spaces? - Why was Esther St. shut down for a majority of that saturday afternoon by local authorities and D.H.S. BEFORE the event? - Why do all the 'survivors' have their own IMDB actor's history page?
