And a little bit of trivia regarding the host entrances on both Bloopers and Practical Jokes and Foul-Ups, Bleeps and Blunders: on the Bloopers show on NBC, Dick and Ed came up stairs to come out on stage, and departed at the bottom of the show the opposite way down the stairs, while on Foul-Ups, Steve and Don came down the stairs at ABC Television Center in Hollywood to enter, and departed at the bottom of that show back up the stairs. Of course, the Bloopers show would go the way of Foul-Ups when it became Super Bloopers and New Practical Jokes, wherein Dick and Ed came in down ramps onto the stage, and departed at the bottom of the show back up the ramps. This all went by the wayside when the Bloopers show became just that (no more Practical Jokes): Dick Clark (by then running solo without Ed McMahon, but with a guest star on occasion) came down a ramp that led from the left side of the stage onto the stage floor.

It's a shame that 1983-1985 episodes when originally aired on NBC had the theme masked up by the "Be There" or "Let's All Be There" jingles as Howard Reig or Bill Wendell did voiceovers. It was dropped starting in really late 1985.

I take it you mean the end title music, which started as Dick Clark and Ed McMahon departed the stage and went back down the stairs at the bottom of the show.

Yes, that’s it. I’ve also been familiar with the 3rd and 4th themes being used to end the show as Clark departed and the animated men of Sergio Aragones applauded with the audience.

Lovely to hear the original NBC Bloopers and Practical Jokes first theme in the clear, 40 years since the show started (yes, January of this year was the 40th anniversary).

if there't one thing i remember the series for, prior to the internet, it isn't the bloopers OR the jokes (or Dick/Ed) it's those little dudes animated by Sergio Aragones in between blocks of clips (presumably of people working in the "Blooper Vaults" the show pulls from) KInda reminds me of how Press Your Luck has the Whammies as little mascots

@@smashwhammy And Charlie O'Donnell's voiceovers on who's going to be on the show that week. The intro was redubbed in the 1980s/1990s by Dick Clark and Ed McMahon.

Sorry to hear that you're not doing BigJon's PC game-related stuff anymore. I understand why you wanted to quit though...
