I think I drooled straight through the clip over Micheal, oh my stars! But tell me if anyone else has noticed this watching clips of game shows, and other vids from fifty or more years ago. Does it seem that people were far less aggressive, or maybe overtly and obvious at being self interested? I've been watching clips like this for years, both on here and on the Internet Archive. Everything from random interviews with ordinary folk on the street, to game shows and whatever else you can find. Also, I've over a thousand aircheck recordings which are audio quality recordings of radio stations. They were made to periodically listen in on the outgoing signal to make cerain the audio qulity was good. Most of mine are pre 1980 and as far back as the 50s. And I've noticed the same difference in people's attitudes. It would seen as time moved forward that people became hyper aware of being on a tv or radio show however breifly and began to try hard to make as big an impression as possible. Where as now you can watch a simple review of a product on Amazon and swear the reviewers were trying desparately to sound like professional spokespeople for late night infomercials or something. I find it a bit unnerving actually, as if we've lost the ability to just be people, wanting instead to be celebrities or someone important. Any one else notice this?
