My only other idea besides whats given given by Mr.Biffen is that videos such us Call of the Wild and Train simulator appeal to a much broader demographic I can guarantee there are more fans of those games than say the baseball simulators

KZbin has a very complicated algorhythm that recommeds videos to different people depending on what you've watched in the past. Also, if your video gets many likes the higher the chances are that your video gets out more in the algorhythm. How many views you get in the first few hours can also effect it. That's probably the most simple way i can explain it :D
