Totally understand your position. But people are becoming more and more against the excessive expenditure of addictive FC24 points. Especially when the core of the audience are children. There are other channels like twosync who had completely removed FC points and they don't do any SharePlay either. Their video quality has improved since their reactions to decent pulls have probably become more relatable. I think we are looking at an issue which is slowly snowballing. In 5 years when they look back at all the damage this stuff done to kids... would you rather be a channel that pioneered against it or one that contributed. That's not meant to be personal. It's just the reality. I love you Pie. This is just the truth as I see it. I spend money on points but I'm an adult. I worry about the kids watching this kind of spending on what is, essentially, a form of gambling.

I don’t think the issue is whether you post it or not on KZbin, but rather whether the money is being spent or not. I think some people are disappointed because they hope as someone who has a fairly sizeable audience, that you’d be willing to take more of a stance on such a monetary issue where there’s more innovation in how to monetise the game, rather than the gameplay itself. Me personally, I didn’t buy the game this year, and I’m not naive enough to think if PieFace doesn’t open packs, then EA are gonna go bankrupt. But I do get why the fans of the streaming / KZbin community could feel disappointed that they aren’t all banding together to not further line EA’s pockets.

Perfectly summed up here. I’m someone that is actively pushing and supporting the boycott, but still understand that this is quite literally his livelihood. Yes, there are alternative ways to get coins than buying packs, like buying pre bought fifa points from sites online, or from coin sites which could be a way to still get a boatload of coins while not giving in to the fifa point scam, which I wish these huge streamers would take into account instead of giving into the fifa point scheme. The fact someone like Bateson, who is arguably the biggest spender in the entire online space, has managed to avoid fifa points and join the boycott, shows that it’s definitely possible to do no matter how big or small you are as a creator. The people couldn’t care what’s posted to the channel any less than we do currently, as after all, you said it, we’re here for him and to support him as a creator, it’s the fact they’re spent at all which is what irks people.

I dont buy coins or points but if i did, i would 10000% buy coins first if it meant EA get pressured from their shareholders to make a better game to increase profits etc. I hope @pieface considers buying coins instead....he might even get them for cheap or free with a sponsorship

But just because some people dont want to participate in the boycott doesnt mean you can go after them personally, I love pie, but if you think that when pie stops opening packs then ea would change everything your stupid. Also, saying that pie has a sizeable audience is irrelevant, most of the people in pies twitch want to see the packs being opened and absolutely love it, if he stops, it wont stop them from loading a tenner every now and then. Same thing with nickrtfm, he is probably the biggest advocate for the boycott right now but there are still people who watch him that spend points. Saying that spending points is not right is fine and everyone is entitled to there own opinion, but bullying someone into it is completely wrong.

I like watching the big packs aswell as the gameplay. Yes EA is a bit of a joke and the price of packs are mental but i enjoy watching all the big packs cuz its funny and interesting to see what u could get in them because i don’t put money into fifa points to be able to open them. however i also like gameplay and watching you play champs and stuff so i would personally love a mix of seeing big packs and also seeing gameplay. Maybe because it hasn’t been used for a while you could start posting all the content from twitch that are all the big packs over on your “Slice of pie” channel and have just gameplay footage and upgrade packs on this account so that if people on youtube want to watch highlights of the big packs like normal videos they still can over on your second channel. Just a suggestion but either way i love your videos man and at the end of the day its your channel so you can do what you want

Post what you like, it is your channel. Just be aware that, when you open packs, you promote packs from the store, weather you intent to or not.
