I mean you can't fault them. Three of these teams have been improving for years and they look strong. Germany are the odd one out with their poor last few years but they've got great young talent and a competent manager now as well as home advantage. Upsets are hard to envision, nobody saw Morocco doing what they did at the world cup for good reason. A shocking upset team like Ukraine or Austria could go far or a declining big team like Italy but its just not likely. Germany vs Portugal and France vs England are dream games as well, we all want them to happen.

I think experience and technical ability really suits international tournaments as they're much less intense physically from what I can tell, and Croatia have had the solid foundations for a long while. Like Čorluka, Srna, Brozović, Rakitić, modrić, Mandžukić, lovren etc. Don't really suffer the intensity of club football. I can't say for journalism across the world, but at least it England and Spain, the media definitely doesn't underrated Croatia, they show a lot of respect. I feel nowadays it's trendy to criticise english media and fans although admittedly some are very cocky

i am from germany and i see alot of the austrian players in the bundesliga, people like sabitzer are really not that bad and also ragnik is doing a really great job there. they play a nice style of football whit a lot of power and i am just afraid they have to go out cause the group in general is really hard, but then also there is a group with belgium what really isn't what it used to be, romania, kvaradona and ukraine, which are probably splitting points up really really much and then probably romania is coming through with 4 points and austria is going out with 3 points, while being a much better team. same for the group with croatia, maybe croatia is going out here with 3 points, maybe also croatia gets lucky with a win against italy or spain and italy/spain is also loosing a second game and suddenly one of them is 3rd in group with 3 or less points and have to go home then, instead of czech republic for example. only players i know from czech republic right at this moment are coufal, soucek, schick and hlozek and 2 of them arent even regular starters, but to steal points from turkey or grandpa ronaldo is a lot easier than from italy/spain/croatia i think. there should be some kinde of multiplier with how good the group u play in is in my opinion. or maybe all 3rd placed teams just play a wildcard round and really play out who is better and is allowed to go through to the round of 16.

for everybody that isnt too up to speed with croatia and are going with the "aging squad" routine, dont believe it for a second. our defense is the best that its ever been we are getting kinda scary going forwards aswell cause i think we finally have solid options (up to dalic to make it work) and for midfield modric is still here and hes still good and behind him u have successors like baturina and sucic... im not saying we are winning this thing not even close but dont sleep on the boys. we aint aging at all actually. "only" modric is.(i know thats a big only)

They easily topped their qualifying group because they had teams like Iceland and Luxembourg in it. Portugal also lost to Slovenia, and I don’t see Slovenia beating England. Croatia isn't an "aging team." For sure, players like Modric, Brozovic, and Perisic are near the end of their careers - but there are a lot of youngsters in the squad, led by Josko Gvardiol. Also, Lovro Majer, Luka Sucic (who I predict will be a star), Kovacic, Stanisic, Pasalic (both of them), etc. are all either young or at their prime. Croatia's biggest problem is the lack of a world class striker, which historically they always had.

You are supposed to thrash the Liechtenstein’s and for once did setting a new record in Portuguese football. I know we saw in the Croatia game there wasn’t as much play but I believe they were avoiding injury. No one put themselves out there. Only time will really tell.
