Great tutorial. You could put one side of the fabric inside the other so you don't need to use any pins, a bit worried about the pins, I think I'll use safety pins. Cos knowing my luck they'll go rusty or I'll prick myself😜. I found out about this when I started quilting but I folded it lengthways because of course the fabric was on the larger side. Thanks for showing this though. I've card left so will definitely be doing this storage method. Take care🤗

Comic book boards make great floss drops too, since they are heavier weight than normal cardstock, but can still go through a shape punch for forming the holes.

What a great idea! I know some people use those comic book boards as an inexpensive alternative to mounting boards. This might even be a great way for me to store some finished pieces that are waiting to be FFO-ed. Thanks for sharing!

When Erica said that, I was like, why didn't I think of that? Because I know quilters that store their fabric like that. The only other thing I'm going to add for the description is who the fabric is buy. Extra great tip. Thanks.

Omg! That is perfect! I have so much fabric that is so disorganized! I then end up ordering more because I can't find what I need. Even though I know I have it "somewhere. 40 years of cross stitching plus a couple of inherited stash situations equals a lot of fabric stash. Thank you! Heading straight to Amazon to order now!

I saw someone who cut hanging file folders along the fold and then wrapped fabric around that so they could hang in a file box. I think I prefer you method. It's so pretty. Love it in the colors.

Great idea! I'll try this. I already use these comic boards as the backing for finishing ornaments, to do flat folds or small framed pieces. I usually glue 2 layers together, but individually or even glued together they are easy to cut to shape, and when you buy 100, there are lots to play with! Another plus is that they are acid free.

AH!! I'm just seeing this comment! So, YES! I still use this. I don't use the t pins any more. They're kind of a lot to deal with. Other than that I still do this exact same thing and I love it. Highly recommend!

Oh Erin, what I think you mean is that you don't have 100 pieces of fabric YET! You are livin'' the dream!
@kanona01153 жыл бұрын
I think I haven’t let myself organize mine because XS isn’t my main craft and I “didn’t have that much” I still don’t really but I NEEED to have it organized - it’s driving me nuts. My quilting and sewing stuff is very organized- now it’s my XS stuff’s turn!
@patriciasimon96843 жыл бұрын
Thanks for tip. You have enough room left to put the rest of the cardboard in the back.
@alieceheebner39103 жыл бұрын
Not to criticize but you can get more in the box if you alternate fabric on the left, fabric on the right just flip the side that you wrap and that you write on
@erincaton16553 жыл бұрын
Valid point! I'll keep it in mind if I ever end up with that much fabric!!
