Speaking as someone who is listening to Gallifrey in parallel with the Eighth Doctor audios, no, the Time Lord presence here doesn't tie into that series. He does, however, tie into both Bernice Summerfield and Faction Paradox, so....

Who isn't? Just go by release order, but be warned, it ties heavily with 7's stuff on Big Finish, especially the monthlies. It also ties with 5's monthlies, but only in three stories. In terms of order via companions if you want explanation I can give it.
