Beautiful results! I’ve seen a couple of people get great results with the Cake mousse, I need to try it! I have a similar pattern with a bit more curl in spots but thicker overall. It gets so easily weighed down though. I want to use mousse but don’t like the texture it typically leaves (rough, dry, “producty”), so I’m excited to try this one! Thanks!

No problem! I hope it works. Cake Mousse is SUPER dense/thick but it hasn't given me any dryness. I know what you mean about the producty feeling I hate that too. I will say though, if you are sensitive to fragrance then it might not be for you. It has a sweet lemon smell. Goes away after a while, but it's like putting dessert on your hair at first lol

Also, have you tried foams? I haven't yet but I hear they are nice alternatives to mousse. They aren't as heavy and drying on the hair. I've been meaning to try some but I'm still looking around.

@@tiffanymcnerlin157 I have. Giovanni was very drying for me, and Zotos All About Curls is...okay. I’ve heard Dippity Do Girls With Curls is nice. I guess I just prefer the feel of gel but the performance of mousse...🤷♀️...I don’t know, it’s going to take awhile to find the ideal products (at a price I am willing to spend). And I don’t mind fragrance in my hair care, I actually prefer it 🙃 I look forward to trying it!

Do you have any problems getting mousse crunch out? That’s the issue I always have with damp styling, otherwise because it turns out with more hold and dries faster I’d prefer it on my hair.
@tiffanymcnerlin1574 жыл бұрын
I have a little more crunch when I damp style but it's not too big of a difference (my hair leans towards the over-moisturized side). I think the type of mousse is a big factor. I was using NYM Curl Talk Mousse and my hair was crunchy and dry. I switched to Cake Mousse and now it's a lot better.

My texture is similar. I just have a bit more curl. I find if I use a denman brush or damp style my hair looks less defined, but more volume. It can sometimes look stringy using that method as well. However, I’ve noticed that as my hair has become healthier wet styling works better. My curls clump together better and look plump and voluminous. By the way...you have a gorgeous smile! Thanks for the videos! Newly subscribed!

Thank you! 😃 yea I noticed the same thing during this wash day! The damp side was more stringy but had more volume/bounce (less styling time). The wet side clumped so well but took a lot longer to diffuse. I just like the Denman bc it helps with frizz. So I'll use it to brush my hair, and then I'll spray with more water to help my hair clump up again.

Your curls look really nice in this demo. Is it because of the denman brush? I have not tried one yet. Also, your makeup looks so pretty. Not too heavy, just enough to accentuate your beauty. What do you put on your eyebrows? thanks much
@tiffanymcnerlin1574 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I don't think it's from the Denman specifically, only bc I've been using the Denman for quite some time now. I do love it for tackling frizz, but I feel like there are many other brushes that do the same thing. I think I get my best hair days when my hair is slightly wet, not soaking. So I'm trying to find the goldilocks zone between wet and damp styling haha For brows, I use Anastasia Brow Wiz and then a brow gel. I don't have a fav brow gel, just any ole product I have lying around lol but the Brow Wiz is something I've been using for years. Sometimes Sephora will have it on sale for half-off, so I usually wait until then and purchase them in bulk. I do sometimes dye my brows (I have an old video on my channel), but that is something I do periodically not regularly.

What hair dryer do you use?

Just an old hair dryer I've had for about 8ish years lol I haven't felt the urge to purchase a new one yet. I use the black orchid diffuser with it.

Too much mousse for a small amount of hair.
@tiffanymcnerlin1574 жыл бұрын
Yup. The Cake mousse does that. Expands far more in volume than any other mousse I've ever used. Been tricky to get right. Thanks for watching though.
