I live about 2 hours from Timberline Lodge and it is my go to mountain for snow sports. I had the opportunity to stay a couple nights at the lodge and I also drooled over the ironwork.

YoYo Ma in the Prelude for the First Cello Suite? Sounds like this version kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6HVqJiKbpqApZI Indeed the iron work at Timberline is amazing. As is the woodwork, the paintings and the fiber arts. Timberline was done as a WPA project that employed skilled artisans that had been put out of work during the Depression.

That stuff is beautiful. Timeless. Can’t imagine people making it. They had to be true craftsman. Makes me want to go start some projects, but work is calling unfortunately.
