A quick tour of Alton Towers Theme Park

Following our night at Alton Towers Hotel we spent the next day at Alton Towers Theme Park. Not off to a good start as staying at Alton Towers Resort gave us 1 hour early access to the theme park. Unfortunately the Wicker Man was down and the only attraction open and operating was Gangsta Granny so not great! (although we did go on Gangsta Granny the ride later and it was good fun). So this is a whistle-stop guide to Alton Towers and the rides Runaway Train, Rita, The Wicker Man and many others although you can't film on most rides. Oktoberfest was also going on when we visited in September so we had some very expensive but enjoyable Twisted Potato! This was the last stop on our UK Road Trip although we did drive down to North London for a few stops used in my Billy Fury videos.

So we're here in Alton Towers this morning. We're going to have a look around - we got no plans so see what happens - can't film on a lot of the rides I know so we'll just see how it goes.
I think it's still one of the most popular rides here 'Nemesis'. Well, for the thrill rides. 'Wicker Man' looks good because it's...how intense it is I don't know....but it's a wooden style coaster so it's got a little bit of theming around it. We like the fast rides but we like a bit of theming around them as well. Ghostly grave digger. Creepy carriageman or butler.

Things happen but the Wicker Man was supposed to be open 'Early ride access', and they're having problems so it's not.
So I asked the guy what's actually open then 'Early ride access' and it's just Gangsta Granny so Runaway Mine Train. It's still fun - that bit goes through the tunnels picks up quite a bit of speed there.
They've got phone charging stations.

'Duel'. It a ghost ride along the lines of the Haunted Mansion but now it's 'Duel' shooting game.

it's a quiet day today which is good though. Not much wait times for rides, so we've done a few. Going up into the 'Oktoberfest',

There's nice little bit of theming around this......'Buccaneer Bay' do they call it?
It's quite a tangled track here.
Most rides seem to have a gift shop themed in with the rides, or rides.
It's good theming in this shop
£3500 for a willow sculpture.
Good theming on that one, it was very good theming.
It's probably the best themed ride. It's good, the entrance you go in,
it has got its sort of equivalent of the Stretching Room from the Haunted Mansion kind of thing. You go into a sort of circular room they tell you you're going to be sacrificed for the Wicker Man

That was our trip to Alton Towers. Now we're leaving again, heading south now

Hi Bubbleworks. It was Oktoberfest back in September when we went which runs for a few weeks. Different food stalls set up and I believe beer later in the day! Thanks for watching 👍
