For my Golos deck it's just a 5 color "good stuff" sorta deck. It's basically 50 cards that are mana rocks and lands (and the commander), then a side pool of ~150 cards (including Kenrith as an alternate commander). I then pull 50 cards from it at random and shuffle it with the core deck of lands and rocks and that's my deck for the session. I've also built it so there are no tutors, including land tutors, so no Rampant Growths or the like, other than Golos, so that I have no idea what's in the deck other than those rocks and lands when I play it. It's a great way to add some variance to a deck, a sort of sideboard/cube on the side especially if there are some cards that you might want to play in a deck that might not make the cut. Have some flex spots that you can rotate cards in and out.

You totally inspired me to make a Golos deck after your first Golos video, and I've been messing around with it since. It's become a more "token/populate" deck, working with that Swarm Intelligence, Brass' Bounty, Treacherous Terrain, and an Anointed Procession that I managed to pull. Quadrupling my token output has been pretty neat in test play - looking forward to trying it out officially. Thanks for what you do! Really enjoying the videos you put out.
@skirishlad70954 жыл бұрын
2 months later, and I have to say that this deck is a monster and terrifies my friends when I pull it out. It has a 1/3 chance of completely wiffing, but each other time I make enemies quick, but not quick enough to stop it without a board wipe. It does, of course, get a little Solitaire-y, but it's sometimes fun becoming the archenemy - epsecially when people who haven't played against it before don't heed my warnings haha.

When the rest of the ponies are released, the deck will focus on Twilight's ability. Right now I try to resolve Divine Intervention to make the game draw. Thematically I include a bunch of Friend/Foe cards and Assist cards. There's a bunch of political work to make friends at the table. Giving the lands, cards, and stopping combat. If I come to the end game and the table won't let the game draw, I just win off of my quiet maze's end built up. The deck also includes Door to Nothingness to remove my foes from the game.

Jacopo Genovese as for their effects, I think they’re pretty similar. Depending on your meta, you’ll want to use one or the other. Brakkos is better in metas with a lot of interaction because he has built in recursion for himself

I really liked this video - and just in general all the content that Mitch is putting out recently. I was ready to go on a magic (i.e. Commander) hiatus since my playgroup kinda drifted apart, but Mitch and quarantine got me brewing again ;-) I already had Maelstrom Wanderer (good stuff), Talrand the Sky Summoner (control and tokens), and Sigarda Host of Herons (voltron enchantress) - but now I'm brewing on a budget Arcades the Strategist deck and a not-so-budget Zirda the Dawnwaker deck (which is a welcome challenge, since most people I play with don't like or play combos that go infinite). So, guess I just want to thank Mitch for giving bringing me back and inspiring me to brew :-)

1. I like how aware you are of your decks and how openly you communicate with your play group. 2. One of the best times I had in EDH was when I was against a Jhoira deck and he had to win this turn or he was dead. Needed to get Lab Man, but he copied Jhoira and had a card draw doubler in play, so any artifact FORCED him to draw 4. Lab Man was literally the last card in his deck and he couldn’t play more cause he’d deck himself as he drew it. Another guy wanted to concede earlier, but I convinced him to stay in the game and then we knocked out the Jhoira player and I won a couple turns after that.

This was a great episode, and I'm excited to see more on the Rarity deck! I also play against a lot of people who don't have their own collections, so I try to have a nice balance of deck types for different people's play style and archetype preferences. EG: Mazirek - Aristocrats; Brago - Blink; Teneb - Reanimator; Freyalise - Tribal; Mayael - Fatties; Teysa - Tokens; Phenax - Mill; Akiri - Voltron

I've only got 3 Commander decks which are Sliver Overlord, Edgar Markov, and Alela Artful Provocateur. Alela I built from the video Mitch here made about it, but I swapped like 30 cards to suit my playstyle. Edgar and Overlord I built completely from scratch with no help from anything or anybody and they are brutal.

Ink treader was actually my first ever commander! I used Act of Treason to totally tear up everyone's game!

I like your nephilim deck. 1 mana targeting cantrips was the main reason why I made zada hedron tokens.

I did that trick with willbender using support creatures in a chaos sealed once.

Kaalia of the vast, yisan, and marath are my current decks. Ordered the 2020 commander and thinking of tooling up at least one or two. Want to build some sort of a fun deck with blue since I rarely play that color. Contemplated Zur for a competitive deck but remembered I like having friends.

Hey Mitch, that Marwyn deck tech was what got me into Commander and it was the basis for my first deck. Are you going to pick up colossification along with sudden spinnerets from Ikoria?
