Hebrews 4:14-15 states: Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. --- And again in Hebrews 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. --- Indeed, Jesus knew no sin, but it seems Denlinger's idea of sinful flesh is corrupted by the concept of man inheriting a sinful nature as opposed to the concept of man sinning by his own God-given freewill to perform sin. Augustine's doctrine of Original Sin teaches that man is corrupted because fleshly matter is genetically constructed to be evil due to the fall in Paradise. This is why I favor Pelagius' argument that we are guilty because we sin by our freewill and not because we were born into sin. Although born into a sinful world, but born into innocence. For Christ died a physical death and still was without sin which proves that we did not inherit sin from Adam, but rather mortality and sin is only patterned after Adam.

What you are saying is that it is possible for man to save himself.

@@almsforthepoor9395 I agree, but saying we are not born with the sin nature and saying that it is free will that we sin, is saying that it is possible for people to not sin. So I do not understand how you cannot think of this possibly if it’s only free will. Children go to Heaven because they do not understand what sin is, thus making them innocent, same with the mentally impaired. But once children understand that they are sinners that is when they can believe in JESUS and the Good News.

@@DebraGill One of the arguments between Pelagius and Augustine was infant baptism. Obviously both you and I believe it to be unnecessary. I agree with you that small children know not the difference between good and evil and therefore, they are not accountable. Is it possible for people to not sin? Jesus said to be perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect. Did he simply give a commandment that was impossible for us to keep. I'm certainly not declaring myself to be sinless, but rather I am suggesting a strong difference between those who willfully sin and those who strive to be sinless. Might it be that our willpower is too weak to resist the devil as well as inward evil that may flow from the Adamic heart? If one begins to target specific sins he will find that it truly is a matter of willpower to overcome that specific sin. God can strengthen him if he is willing to cooperate with the Holy Spirit. We read that Jesus was strengthened by an angel. The daily course of sinning itself is just a string of developed habits that are by no means innate. Peter said there are those who cannot cease from sin in his epistle and we also read there is no temptation that has taken us which is not uncommon to man and which God will not give you a way out.

@@almsforthepoor9395 we are perfect by accepting the gift that JESUS gave to us. It tells us in 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Hi Brother. I have never heard of the reason for JESUS to be begotten by THE HOLY GHOST as you teach here. I was taught that we have inherited the sin nature from Adam, this is why JESUS could not be begotten by a man. HE needed to be 100% sin free or HE could not be our substitute. The Bible even says we were conceived in sin. Psalms 51: 5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. This is why we need to get out of the line in Adam and be washed by the 2nd or last Adam who is JESUS CHRIST. When we are born, our spirit is dead, when we are born again our spirit is quickened. If you think this is wrong I would like to know why. Another thing I would like to point out is that Denlinger uses the phrase, like as, to prove the THE HOLY GHOST is not a dove which is correct, but then uses it to try and prove that Melchizedek was JESUS. He is unstable in all his ways. GOD BLESS!!!

Here is what I believe concerning this particular psalm. In verse 6 David says: thou desirest truth in the inward parts and in the hidden parts thou shalt make me to know wisdom. The wisdom of God is Christ manifest in the flesh. And he is the Truth. Thus, David foretells of walking in the Spirit as opposed to walking in the flesh. “Shapen in iniquity” simply means the flesh of a sinner for all people are guilty of sin; not inherently evil, but prone to evil with its susceptibilities. We sin by freewill choice. Man is made in the image of God and so we are not made in the shape of sin, but through the flesh sin came into the world. David acknowledges that he was formed within the womb so speak of a mother guilty of sin who dwelled within a sinful world and so he was raised into sin. David does not acknowledge that sexual intercourse is sin, but rather that he was a child conceived by sinful parents who themselves were guilty of sin. Elsewhere we read that God forms us in the womb and Moses was told that God made those who were deficiently formed. Therefore, I believe "shapen" denotes David's being shaped by the sinful world he was born into. Jesus says children are the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven does he not? If babies were evil then this would be a staggering contradiction.

@@almsforthepoor9395 I never said that children are evil, having the sin nature does not make one evil, only that sin comes naturally to him. Take an innocent child before he understands what sin is, he will lie, but GOD knows they do not understand and sees them as innocent, not sin free.

@@DebraGill I understand and I thoroughly agree with you. There are some Calvinists who use the death of infants to prove the sinful nature. However Christ died a physical death and he never sinned thus revealing that death was inherited from Adam and not a sinful nature. Unless one believes in Original Sin which teaches man to be genetically evil as Calvinists do. Bryan mentioned the "sinful blood" of Jesus' father Joseph as if to say that Jesus was not of the seed of Abraham as the Bible teaches. At least that was my suspicion. As was pointed out in the video by Servant of Christ. Now we know that Jesus was formed in the womb by the Holy Spirit, but he was fashioned as a man being the new Adam. Jesus calls himself the root and offspring of David. Therefore, he was made a man and the Word became the same flesh as we have. He was not of a different flesh nor was he given special ability that we do not have. He conquered the Devil through his love for the Father. The Bible teaches that he was tempted in all points as we are, loved, hated, suffered, hungered, thirsted, experienced emotion and ultimately death. He was given authority to forgive sins on earth being God manifest in the flesh and he was also given the judgement seat because he is the Son of man.

@@almsforthepoor9395 well I do not even listen to what Bryan says, his mind has been darkened and he does not understand, hence all his heresy. Dare I say that I do not believe he is even saved to be honest, it’s all a show to him. Yes JESUS was tempted, and hungered an thirst but that was the human part of HIM, it was so HE could understand what man goes through, but remember that JESUS as a boy was in the temple, doing HIS FATHER’S business. HE needed to understand what man goes through as HE is our MEDIATOR to THE FATHER. JESUS did not have the sin nature we are all born with. Can I ask you, when a human child is born do you have to teach them to behave? If left without discipline, what do you think they will do. Do they have to learn to be naughty? By the way, I’m am enjoying talking to someone who see’s things differently, iron sharpens iron. No insults or name calling, it’s very nice so GOD BLESS You for this.

@@DebraGill You believe Jesus did not have the same "sin nature" as we do. Yet Hebrews 2:16 says he took on the "nature" of Abraham. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. --- I believe man has the propensity to sin but is not naturally programmed to sin for if this were true then man would be without fault. We would be no different than a beast following its beastly nature. God instills and withholds certain behaviors in animals. So why are children inclined to disobey? The Scripture says raise your children in the way of God and they will not stray. Therefore children learn from example and when people sin they follow the example of Adam who rebelled against God's rule.
