you shouldn't. it has to be fast enough for the gear to change in milisecond with the power cut off. when the gear is in slow speed, the gear dont have enough time to change properly

You will damaged the gear teeth and/or cause premature wear to the gear dog. Timing is very important.

Recently, while i was riding, i heard a very nasty clanking sound and the the engine seized completely. Upon opening the gearbox, it was observed that most of the teeth were broken, because one broke and it acted as a wrecking ball inside the gearbox. And this was just within a matter of seconds. Luckily, my motorcycle is under warranty and they are changing the entire gearbox. 🤞

Yeah I have a 2022 Ducati with a quick shifter they're not for low RPM shifting they can be used on the street but only in very hardcore Full Throttle shifting I'm an old-school writer so this shifting without the clutch thing was very new to me. It does work but it's very limited and I never use it on downshifting

No you dont need to dismantle the top section... you can fix it by just splitting the crankcase...

@@Street765R For superbike that pretty much same for every bike... The loud 1st gear is kind of normal.. it is because the clutch plate and friction plate are dried and they get stuck together... That is why when we put in the gear it will produce the sound... But once we manage to put in gear.. you will find the sound reduced as we repeat it .

It does... That is why most manufacturers will advise to use it at higher rpm...

@@AK_TheMechanic then the quick shifter is not the cause. It's the user incorrectly using the QS. But there should be an ECU update where it will not trigger the QS below a certain RPM.

⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@@AK_TheMechanicSuzuki quick shifter is activated when your above 2,000 r/min at shift up and 1,700 r/min at shift down. So to Suzuki anywhere above those rpm’s is fine.

It's common sense to go higher revs to quickshift. Lower rpm will definitely damage the gearing. Don't treat high performance bikes like scooters.
