Did you know peas & beans have chirality, a direction of stem rotation? It looked like you attached two to the cane wigwam in reverse, so they will unwind themselves.

That squirrel is what is probably eating and scratching on your bird feeder. They are really acrobatic and can hang upside down and feed off that feeder very easily!

Word of caution on bird feeders damaged by squirrels, I had to rescue a blue tit that had got it's beak stuck in the groove that the squirrel had bit in to it [it was hanging limp down from it] so we've changed to the feeders with metal openings.

In September/October you can sow salad, spinach, arugula and other leafs in the greenhouse, they will grow all winter. I also plant chard in the greenhouse, chard that was growing outside during summer. It will also grow and you can harvest fresh leaves all winter. Other things you can plant are parsley and chives. Once I went through 20cm of snow to harvest leaves for a salad, also on Christmas Day and new years eve I can eat a home grown salad.

Good work 👏🐝👩🏻🌾the weeds are o lot in the beginning because you have clean up and disturb the soil, if you for ex put nepeta between the other flowers in the pound the bee will thank you and no weed. buy one and take cuttings 👩🏻🌾🐝🌱

Starlings are the most violent and destructive birds I’ve seen feeding. Have you considered using capillary matting for your seedling trays, would give you a bit of extra wiggle room if you can’t get to water your plants. After watching your last video, you mentioned about the back of the plot, perhaps some fruit trees (columns) planted as a hedge to cover the fence.
@helenstewart20855 ай бұрын
Gardening to do lists, always have at at Number one weeding or watering glasshouse/tunnel house, Number 2 planting out or sowing seeds. Number 3 is making/turning or spreading compost.

it coukd be a mouse, a rat or squirrel that has chewed your feeder, nut I wouldn't say it was a bird. They look like teeth marks rather than claw marks or peck marks- probably the little squirrel you filmed. Foxgloves usually grow smaller when they are dry, I find. I have some small ones in my garden where the ground s dry but they are up to 6ft tall in moister areas of the garden.

I find gardening exciting too. When I'm not in the garden I often watch gardening videos - either for research & information or for pleasure (like your's) It's winter in New Zealand, but we're having some (short) sunny days atm. I'm making the most of the sun to get things done before Spring, which can get frantic
